Hint, Hint
Nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more, say no more...
Veteran scout C.O. Brocato, the Titans national supervisor of college scouting, says Maualuga, an inside linebacker, can also play outside as well, enhancing his stock.
“He is a tremendous football player. He is tough, big,” Brocato said. “He can run and he will hit you, that is the big thing. He is an explosive type tackler. … He can play outside or inside.”

So..should i keep dreaming about a 2nd round...trade?
or has it gone by the wayside.
Hey, when you have the stereo and TV on, how do you change the volume on the stereo?
"If you have the stereo on..." Why do you have the stereo on while you're watching TV?
'Cause I like to party.
can someone please explain
why all this linebacker talk is going on. we use a nickel more than a MLB, and we have bulluck and thornton starting on the outsides. WHY oh WHY would we dump a first rounder on a guy who either won’t play as much as vinny fuller, or who would be replacing thornton, who doesn’t need to be replaced. even beyond that, no one has ever provided concrete evidence as to what exactly tulloch does wrong for us @ MLB.
unless we are switching to 3-4, which we aren’t, i have absolutely no idea why we need a 1st round linebacker.

I agree with you hal...this seems like another head scratcher.
Is he really good enough to sit and learn for 2 or 3 seasons until we need him while we have more pressing needs and good players available to fill them? I don’t think so. I think there will be more good linebackers when Thornton and (god forbid) Bulluck need replacing,
Plus I hate USC. And we don’t need any more Trojans.

Why so much hate?
Come on just because we are good year every year doesn’t mean you gotta hate plus Fish is an alumni….just sayin
Bulluck is 32 , slowing down
and a free agent after next year. Plus, if he or Thornton go down we have very little depth at LB. They’d only take a LB there who they feel can play outside as well as inside…
It’s not a sexy pick, but if they think Rey is the best available don’t be surprised if he’s their guy.

I didn't say I would be surprised.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they drafted a punter in the 1st round.
But I would be surprised if I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet.

In My Opinion
Rey Maualuga is a difference maker who we can make changes to our scheme for. I think preferably we would keep Rey at MLB and we would move Tulloch to the outside where is size isn’t as much of a factor but that would probably mean Bulluck would be gone after this year. Rey is by far the best tackler in this draft and can be a corner stone for our defense for the next 10+ years.
if he's there we HAVE to take him
rey rey is going to be a maniac in the nfl, no doubt about it at all. drafting another high round reciever doesn’t make sense. we run the ball and stop the run. this dude punishes running backs.
