Lendale and a second?

That’s nothing! Get him and another “Smash” this weekend at Radio City Music Hall, and we are a SB team.

Welcome to Smashville, Tennessee.

I have to believe they'd want our 1st round pick

only because ours is so late it’s nearly a 3rd rounder. Either way I’m game.

If the Cardinals will take this deal

the Titans would be FOOLS to not pull the trigger.

Makes sense

Hightower didn’t produce like they were hoping when they bumped him over Edgerrin James on the depth chart.

now with less meyton panning.

There is just no way I will ever believe that that trade is possible.

Even if it happens, I STILL will not believe it because it is totally and completely insane.

With what bargaining power?

For that matter, can you really see the Titans trading Cutler had they somehow wound up in Denver’s shoes? No way. At all. Fisher would have sat the kid down and told him straight up that he’s stuck and that’s the end of the story, and now it’s time to shut the Hell up and go back to work.

It’s the same question.

Very nice

LenDale did his job as a fat bruiser decently, but he’s definitely not an irreplaceable player. That’d be a nice deal to make, depending on the draft pick they want.

As much as I love the Round One -

I’d have to say, so long….

I’m all for these terms, but it would sting.

OMG

I agree that if the Titans cant make this deal happen, there’s something wrong.

This seems to be a no-brainer – Lendale’s in a contract year. Trade him while you can, then draft a running back.

Right now, I’m so excited, I’m afraid to look! :)

And another source to the rumor
“The Arizona Cardinals are said to be gathering information on Tennessee Titans RBs LenDale White and Chris Henry, a source told Scout.com.

It’s not a secret that the Titans have interest in WR Anquan Boldin so Arizona’s potential interest in either back could signal that trade discussions could intensify over the next 24 hours."

For a certain definition of "influence" anyway.

I hope they’re reading this, because IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE LET ARIZONA AND OUR FRONT OFFICE KNOW HOW DEARLY IT WOULD COST US TO SEND CHRIS HENRY TO ARIZONA.

but seriously, can you imagine if they take Henry and a pick instead of CJ and a pick!

Lowered

the reason the Card’s have lowered their asking price is to see if they get a better offer then what our Titans have put on the Table!

MY guess is that our offer was one of the only ones and if not the only one then the best one so now they have made it public that their demands are lower in an effort to get more

Hey MCM

It has been a long time but I guess draft weekend is as good of a time as any to finally let the wound heal. I have struggled since the heartbreak to post, but ive been reading. Jimmy and my boy Gramsey still keepin it real. I want this to happen so bad, but the realist in me is going nuts for even thinking about it. Is this really possible? Boldin to Nashville???? What about a 2nd and LW and then draft Beanie Wells with the 1st pic that is a nice replacement for LW huh? Give me some thoughts. Oh yea and it’s good to be back!

Someone once said "Vince Young bleeds two toned blue!" But I disagree, because The Great One Doesnt Bleed!!

So with all this buzz...if it goes down it has to before the draft or during the first round?..

right?

Hey, when you have the stereo and TV on, how do you change the volume on the stereo?

"If you have the stereo on..." Why do you have the stereo on while you're watching TV?

'Cause I like to party.

by titansfan615 on Apr 24, 2009 5:29 PM CDT reply actions

Two possibilities:

1.) They will wait until the Draft to make the trade, hoping for the best offer at the last minute, or just waiting to see how it unfolds and who is available before making the trade.

2.) They will want this trade done ASAP now, so that they can get their Draft board arranged/rearranged, and perhaps even position themselves for a move-up/trade subsequent to the Boldin trade.

Seeing as how the asking price is going down and not up (allegedly), I am thinking the Cards will probably want the best value ASAP, and the ability to have some time to prepare any Draft board changes (as needed) or quietly feel-out the possibility of targeting desired propects with more firepower to make such move(s). Most teams with later picks have a mid or early First Round player they’d love to see fall into their lap. The Cardinals would have added leverage to make a fevered run at any Top-Quality, Blue-Chip, First Round player that they initially thought they would never get their mitts on.

Just MHO.

They just said on Sports Center

That they Titans have accquired right to talk with his agent, a deal has been offered to the Cards, but the Cards are denying that any offer has been made.

One more thing

Click here to listen to what ESPN has to say. I couldn’t get the video on here, so I figured the audio would be good enough.

Welcome to Smashville, Tennessee.

by Aditya T (smashville) on Apr 24, 2009 6:35 PM CDT reply actions

Okay, these are a little repetitive, but here's what else I could find
“Arizona seriously was considering an offer Friday night for Boldin from Tennessee that included a second-round pick and a player-to-be-named, according to ESPN.com. Talks had progressed enough that the Titans reportedly received permission to negotiate with Boldin’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus.” Chicago Tribune
“The Cardinals got an official offer today for wide out Anquan Boldin, but the Arizona Republic reports that the offer was not close to what the team was looking for. "It didn’t come close to being something we would consider," said GM Rod Graves. "We’ve had no other interest expressed." One team that suddenly seems to have great interest in Boldin are the Tennessee Titans, who also need a wide out. They grabbed free agent Nate Washington this offseason, but could use another prime-time player like Boldin, who right away would be the teams best wide receiver.” NFL Gridiron Gab
