Bring Me Braylon Edwards!
Okay. I know that 104.5 is essentially cheerleading an attempt to get Anquan Boldin, but they apparently want a 1st and 3rd for him.
Why not Braylon Edwards? it looks like the Giants are the only ones going after him and they've come to a stalemate because the Giants only want to give a 2nd and 5th. I'd do a 1st and a 5th for Braylon Edwards.
Let me lay out my argument. First, Edwards is two years younger than Boldin and has put up numbers in a much more difficult division. Secondly, I know people are down on Edwards because he has a history of some drops, but who else were the subpar QBs in Cleveland throwing to?
Boldin laid out a 4.7 40 time at the combine and is a strictly possession guy, but Edwards had a 4.5 40 and is 2" taller than Boldin.
I just don't want the Titans (or their enthusiasts) to be myopic when it comes to WR options. This appears to be a buyer's market for WRs and we all know that the Titans haven't managed to draft a decent receiver in a while.
Titans, pass on a CB and shop your 30th pick for a WR. I don't care which one, but you can go get one with a 1st and a 4th.
Out.

I'm not interested
IMO, Edwards is not better than anyone we already have.

If you don't think Edwards is better than anyone on our team you're lying to yourself
in 2007 he had 16 touchdown catches, that’s more than our starting wide reciever Justin Gage has had in his entire six year career! If you don’t think his is worth the first round pick then that’s one thing, but Braylon Edwards has more talent and raw ability than any wide receiver who has put on a Titans uniform except maybe Mason in his prime. I say he is definately worth a first and a fifth round pick.

Fitz
Fitzgerald ran a 4.63. That’s .09 better than Boldin, but it’s still far less than what is typically thought “elite” receivers should have. I think Boldin’s career has proven he is much more than just a possession guy, although Edwards is probably more “explosive.”
Edwards has the talent, more so than anyone currently on Tennessee (among WRs), but it’s not clear he’s a much better choice than Boldin.

Lets not settle for butterfingers
when all it takes is a 1st and a 3rd for Boldin.
I think most of us are forgetting that most players that come out of the draft are trash, and that a 1st and a 3rd aren’t that steep of a price, especially considering we have 30th pick in each round, and that the Titans are looking solely for BPA, not glaring needs. WE HAVE SO MANY PICKS WHY DON"T WE JUST MAKE THE TRADE!!! He’d be an instant #1 WR, Gage #2, Washington #3, Hawk #4. We’d no doubt be expected to win the SB.
