Tennessee Titans Morning Links: Skoal Spittle And A Guy Named Roscoe, Surprisingly Unrelated Edition
The full preseason schedule is out, and the Titans have two nationally televised exhibition games of the five they'll play: the HOF Game against the Bills (august 9th) and the first ever game in the new Cowboys stadium (August 21st).
Tickets for the HOF Game in Canton, Ohio will go on sale at 10 a.m. (CST) on Tuesday. If you're going be sure to let us know so we can hit you up for a report!
Next Tuesday is also the day the full NFL schedule will be released. You can catch it live on nfl.com and the NFL Network.
Titans fans could see a $3 ticket tax as soon as 2010 to help cover improvements and upkeep to LP Field as it ages. The tax would apply to all events - except TSU games - held at LP Field, which is also a popular venue for summer concerts; cleaning up the Skoal spittle after a Kenny Chesney show is no cheap proposition!
Another WR is on the block, and he's another guy who could fill two roles for the Titans: Roscoe Parrish could provide quality depth at WR and be the most explosive punt returner we've had since you know who. If the price is low I think the risk would be worth it for the lightning fast Miami product.
Yahoo! looks at the Patrick Ramsey signing and what it means for Vince and the Titans.
See folks, this is the kind of junk that gets spread when you don't know the full story, or understand how much monopoly money goes into huge NFL contracts.

I wish they would send TSU back to their campus
instead of ripping apart the field at LP every weekend.

no joke
or at least man up and go to the grass turf stuff that will hold-up to the abuse.

I would have no problem with TSU using LP Filed...
if they really needed it. They probably can’t fill half of their stadium though.
Christie kicks it high and short...Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25...He dishes it back to Wycheck...He throws it across the field to Dyson...
Crowd roaring after Suter’s goal tied it up… Preds win the faceoff and Arnott crosses the blueline, slapshot and a SCORE! Arnott blows it by Hasek and the Preds take the lead 4-3…

Well, the stadium at TSU is condemned (at least not safe to have people in the stands)
So I am sure it was one of those “goodwill” things to let them use it since the city built it. But I would think that Bud would just donate the money to repair TSU’s stadium instead of having to see his team play on a sandbox in November.
Or get Field Turf like August mentioned.

Didn't the Steelers have the same problem
because they shared their field with U of Pitt football? Sharing turf with a college team just doesn’t seem to be a good idea.

I think Heinz field had poor drainage
and so when it didnt drain well and you had two teams playing on it, it just exacerbated it.
now with less meyton panning.
