Ray Ray?
Am I alone in thinking that this team ought to make a run at Ray Ray? I know that it would certainly make the Titans' color analyst freak out, but the truth of the matter is that the Titans have lost Haynesworth and he was a vocal presence and always an example of busting it on the field. Ray Ray might be a little long in the tooth, but he'd certainly be an upgrade over Tullock. Certainly anything like this would have to be run by the veterans in the lockroom (primarily Bullock) since it could be a little inflammatory, but I think Ray Ray's presence on the field and the leadership by example that he'd bring would be a huge asset for Tennessee next year.
I wouldn't overpay, but I'd make a legit run at him.

doubt he is loking for a new scheme at this point in his career
other than that my head can’t really wrap around the idea of ray lewis in a titans jersey.

and Tullock for that matter
I am with G-Ram…this site would be looking for a new moderator if the Titans signed Ray Ray.

You're right hal
I was so absolutely shocked that someone would suggest this, that I didn’t even catch the fact that he spelled our defensive leader’s name wrong. Turned my stomach.
What is this people?? This is ray freaking lewis. RAY FREAKING LEWIS. What the hell? Has this slow free agency period caused you people to lose your minds?

Ray
Been saying this for months. Don’t overpay, but at least test the water. What he lacks in on the field production he makes up for in leadership, attitude, and toughness off the field and on the sidelines. Bulluck, Lewis and Thornton. Wow!!!!!

Thunder?
Are you being serious with this. Yes Ray was a gamer in his prime, but it would be taking a huge step backwards to replace Tulley with Lewis! Tulley is a playmaker and will hit you in the mouth, he is also young and on the rise. Dont be suprised if he has a break out in the 09 season. Besides we do NOT want any freaking Rat-Birds screwing up what makes this organization great! And that is the simple fact that we are not and never will be Baltimore! LOL
Someone once said "Vince Young bleeds two toned blue!" But I disagree, because The Great One Doesnt Bleed!!

Ray has lost a step
Hes a HOF for sure, and still makes great plays, but mainly because his experience allows him to line-up and put himself in the right position to make plays.
But why pick up another aging LB? I agree with Vincanity on this, Tulloch has some development to go, but hes on the up and up and young. Might as well work on the LB corps through development of the young guys rather than through FA at this point.
now with less meyton panning.

I think i'm going to throw up...

My Fault
Sorry, I was trying to win.
And if Dinger left and Billick was willing to take a gig as O-Co-ordinator, I’d consider him to.
It is all about the Ws, folks.
Maybe Tullock will surprise me, but without Albert, we’re going to need a tackling machine as the MLB and Ray Ray is a tackling machine and a leader. Who’s going to be the vocal leader of the D?
(sorry about the Bulluck misfire…)

What has Billick done as an OC
that has been impressive without Randy Moss and Chris Carter?

In his defense
he won a super bowl with Trent Dilfer. I don’t care if your defense is fielding Super Man and the Incredible Hulk that’s a master class in coaching.
Nope just kidding. he sucks. Billick is like Mike Martz without the production.

Nor should we.

The Hell?!?!
I would never wanna see that man donning the two-tone. What would make you think we need leaders on our defense? Bulluck, Thornton, Hope, KVB, Kearse all leaders not only vocally but by example. Also when was Haynesworth a vocal presence for this team?
by CJ4MVP on Mar 3, 2009 8:10 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Did you say Haynesworth always busted his butt on the field?
He was one of the laziest players the NFL has ever seen. Incredibly gifted but an insane slacker. God knows how many times he had to be helped of the field for some phantom injury.
But as much as I do like and respect Ray Lewis (unlike every single other person on this site) I don’t want him on our team. We only use a MLB on just over half of our plays in the first place and we need someone athletic who can drop in coverage like Tully. Plus I think we have one of the most underrated leaders in the league in Keith Bulluck so he would just be wasted space here.
