Titans Sign Kick Returner/Wide Receiver Mark Jones
I would assume Jones will be used primarily as a returner. He only had 2 catches last season.

Phew.
Well, one catastrophe avoided! Phew!
Jones is steady, though not great. He has gotten better as he has become more experienced, with 4 returns of 40 yards or more last year.
Of utmost, UTMOST importance is that he has never once fumbled a kickoff or punt return, ever. The importance of not fumbling returns cannot be overemphasized.
Good job!
Now go get Holt (and Cutler)!!!!

"he has never once fumbled a kickoff or punt return, ever."
I’m sold. That about 80% of what I care about in a returner.

Remember when chris davis returned punts.....
And chris henry doing kickoffs….
Not so good
Cortland Finnegan is a beast
Maybe Lavelle Hawkins will pick up returns too?
now with less meyton panning.

I hope not.
He didn’t do it in college, didn’t look good doing it last year, and would be a better overall asset if he could just play WR reliably.

I thought he did return kicks
and DeSean Jackson returned the punts. Cal fans holla!
Official MCM Hater!
Looks like Hawk
returned most of the kickoffs his senior year.

i still want to see chris johnson do a few kickoffs
give the punts to Ma. Jones, but kickoffs are easy to catch, and a great way to get him 4-6 more touches in the open field per game.

that would make me nervous
i know the odds are probably the same as him getting hurt on any other play, but i would have nightmares of him getting blown up by some special teams scrub at full speed.
i’m definitely not against the idea though.
Seems to be good pick up, BUT......
The Carolina fans are sorry to see him go so that must mean they thought he was pretty good.
However, this could hurt the Titans later in the year when they need the roster spot. At least Carr could also play defense and did so when needed. Jones will be wasting a roster spot that could go to a defensive player.
Speaking of wasting roster spots, why is Chris Henry still on the team??? Why can’t he run back kicks?

They need to either use Chris Henry or release him. He has a lot of talent just no vision
