PrintGramsey emailed me and texted me all day yesterday just giddy about the possibility of CUTLER!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!! becoming a Tennessee Titan, so August and I decided to talk about the whole Cutler saga on the most recent edition of the MCM podcast. We also had a special guest appearance from John at Mile High Report who provided some interesting insight into the whole situation.

I thought the talk about who would you trade on the defensive side of the ball was interesting. Especially since it seems to be our strength.

would the titans go for anyone in the league
knowing his next contract will have to have $40+mil in guarantees, minimum? if a DT can get 32 mill in 13 months, what can a 25 year old QB who is arguably a top 5 starter fetch over 6 years?
manning and brees are the only 2 qb’s in the league that i would say, right now, are definitively better. but cutler is still on the rise, and dinger would be a great coach to help that keep going. if he cuts down on the INTs and gets on a team that can actually win, he will be a perennial mvp candidate.
john elway never won anything until he won 2 anythings in a row. nerd schools that masquerade as legit football programs rarely win, and teams in the nfl that can’t run the ball or play defense rarely win. i fail to see how either of these things reflect on cutler.
still. ain’t happening.

If I was Mike, Trade whomever (Collins or Young), 1st round pick, 3rd round pick For Cutler. Whatever it takes Mike – Get Cutler. Jay is the ONLY Vandy QB to ever beat the Volunteers in the last 30 YEARS! Even if that was the past, look how Cutler helped the Broncos by Himself, even if the broncos defense was horrible. The boy has skill, talent, and the ability to get us to Super Bowl! Take CUTLER MIKE R. PLEASE!
