Jeff Fisher's Season = George Costanza trying to get fired from Yankees
Surely you guys have seen the Seinfeld episode where George is trying to get fired from the Yankees. One of the all-time great episodes. George drags the World Series Trophy behind his car around the parking lot, he wears Babe Ruths uniform to a meeting and gets his lunch all over it, yet he gets commended for everything he does and doesn't get fired. I don't think Fisher could have had much worse of a year, but I expect for the second time VY saved his job. Let's recap Fishers year.
- Pays Kerry Collins 14 Million dollars for 0 and 6 with his last game throwing for -18 yards.
- Trades a second round pick for a 3rd round pick and then chooses a tight end who doesn't see the field and has less than 10 catches on the season. Why not just draft him with OUR 3rd round pick, instead of Ryan Mouton.
- Brings in Nate Washington to upgrade a receiving core that has a problem with drops. (nuff said)
- Fisher is convinced somehow Ryan Mouton a 3rd round pick from Hawaii that no one has ever heard of is the next Primetime. Fisher declares him the back up corner, punt and kickoff returner with no history whatsoever of returning kicks or covering a receiver better than Justin Gage. This costs the Titans at least two games
- Wears a Peyton Manning Jersey to a conference and says he wants to feel like a winner after the worst loss in franchise history.
- Refuses to replace Kerry Collins until forced by the owner.
- Refuses to replace Nick Harper with Rod Hood even though Hood had more ints in 3 games than Harper has had in the past two seasons. Nick Harper could have easily been placed on IR without having to be benched.
- After Kenny Britt obviously is becoming the number one receiver the Titans have been trying to obtain for a decade. Fisher immediately makes him a kickoff returner. Then once Justin Gage becomes healthy, Britt is no longer starting.
I know there is more, please fill in anything I missed below. Happy New Year! Cheers!

I believe he has certain GM responsibilities
But there still is a GM in the organization

Reinfeldt is the GM
but most people that have inside knowledge say that Fisher calls the shots.

"What if I was Peyton Manning?"- CJ to the ref after they picked up a personal foul flag for a late hit on him.
Hmmm......
I would add: throws in the towel in the third quarter of an elimination game against San Diego, in front of a sellout home crowd and a national TV audience.
But I do NOT think he wants to get fired. If he goes somewhere else, there’s a more hostile media and he can’t live off of his legend for a decade because they won’t stand for it. The last thing he wants is a bigger city media and a fan base who thinks anything shy of a Super Bowl is unacceptable.

I truly don't think he wants to get fired either.
I just don’t think he could do much worse than he has this year unless he paraded around in a division rivals jersey after they just kicked the crap out of him…or he offers Nick Harper a contract extension.
I'm not so sure.
Nate Washington was so bad of a pick up. I mean. We needed at least a number 2 or 3 reciever. Sure he has had his drops. But he has had his big plays and he is a consistent red zone target which helps his 6 touchdowns so far. 6 TD’s is as many TD’s as any Titan reciever last year which is an upgrade IMO.

An upgrade to Gage and Brandon Jones, sure.
I agree, but he should have had 9 tds if he could catch the ball. Going forward as our slot receiver I’d say he is pretty good, but he has that one drop a game that just makes you want to kill him.
Killer drops
still an upgrade though over McCareins …how bad were we last year at WR? ugh..

Coach Sabotage
If he gets his wish and gets fired. He’ll get collect checks while vacationing in Hawaii. Its a dirty calculated move by Fisher.
Perhaps some folks are a little spoiled
because anyone trying to get themselves fired can do much better (or worse, in this case) than 8-8…
Have things been done that are perplexing? Yes, but the selective memory is getting out of control.

that's the nature of the NFL
it took about 8 months for people to forget about 13-3 with kerry collins at QB.

If not for selective memory....
…Jeff Fisher would be coaching elsewhere.

Christie kicks it high and short...Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25...He dishes it back to Wycheck...He throws it across the field to Dyson...
