Week 16 NFL Power Rankings : The "Game Over" Edition

Ranks2_medium

Rankings for Week 16 after the jump. Average spot is 17.

Star-divide

NFL.com's "experts" - down five to #19.

ESPN    - down three to #17.

How many touches are they willing to give Chris Johnson as he chases the 2,000 rushing yards milestone in Seattle? (Kuharsky)

Yahoo! Sports  - down eight to #19.

Can Chris Johnson get the 234 rushing yards he needs to break Eric Dickerson’s all-time single-season record against the Seahawks – and is there any doubt coach Jeff Fisher will give him every opportunity to do so?

Pro Football Weekly   - down four to #18

Not the Christmas gift they hoped to deliver to Nashville.

CBS Sportsline  - down two to #20.

Vince Young will be their quarterback next season. He earned that, but I can tell you he still has flaws in his game that need fixing.

Fox Sports down one to #14.

Not to be a downer at Vince Young's revival party, but his 8-for-21 Christmas performance against the Chargers shows that to make the next level of NFL quarterbacks in a modern-day passing league, VY still has plenty of work to do.

The Sporting News's Power Poll  - down five to #19.

A goal for next season should be making their offense less dependent on Chris Johnson.

What if Sports's rankings - down one to #16.

I’m not a big fan of power ranking but do believe that cj’s # of touches need 2 come down he has shown he is durable but we all know how this offense functions without him I think 15-19 touches a game would b just right

Vince

over the years i was a big vince detractor but after the winning streak i finally thought he pulled it together (along with making me eat crow) but after the chargers game i’m torn……..was he playing good against bad competition or was this game just a hiccup along the way? i’m still not completely sold but i hope he picks it up and proves to be a solid starter next year.
