The Bright Side

The Titans playoff hopes are officially crushed and now it's time to finish one last game and fade in to the offseason. Coming off a 13-3 season last year, I'm sure a lot of us in the MCM community had high hopes for this year. Obviously a possible 8-8 finish will fall short of everyone's expectations.

While I'm sure no one's actually happy with the overall body of work for this year, I'd rather look at the positive side of things.

Chris Johnson

Is there anyone that can say a negative thing about what this guy's done for this team? I remember when he was drafted thinking, "what were they thinking? We've already got LenDale White!" Amazing how funny that statement sounds now, huh?

5-6

That record is medicore at best, but think how this team started. 0-6. No team in NFL history has ever won their next 5 after losing their first 6. They don't give you a Lombardi for that, but after 0-6, many fans on MCM were questioning if we'd be 0-12 going in to week 14 versus the Rams. And even coming out of that game 0-13! They weren't going to beat anyone the way they were playing. But this team came out of the bye waeek on fire (Jerseygate or not) and proved every single expert wrong.

Kenny Britt

One draft after another, Titans management has drafted terrible recievers. They got it right this time. Kenny Britt's had his highs and lows this season, but after catching the winning touchdown versus Arizona, there's no doubt he's the furure of this recieving corps.

Tony Brown

When he wasn't costing us penalty yards.

Not having to pay Albert Haynesworth

Is 50 tackles and 4 sacks worth $100 million? Not in my opinion, and that's exactly what the Redskins got for signing him away before the free agency period from the Titans. Big Al was never interested in winning a Super Bowl or being part of a stelar defense. He wanted to get paid. Well, you got it. If you thought Tennessee was bad, have fun in Dan Snyder land.

There's always positives and negatives with every season, even the best seasons (see Patriots, 18-1), but look at the bright side... we're not Lions fans.
