San Diego Chargers vs. Tennessee Titans Series at a Glance

Chargershelmet_medium

We are getting a little bit of a jump on this post this week because of the Friday game.  The Chargers lead the all time series between these two 23-16-1 and have won the last 6 meetings.  Jeff Fisher is 0-5 in his career against San Diego.

The last regular season meeting between these two was on December 9th, 2007 when the Titans blew a big lead late in the game and eventually lost on a LaDainian Tomlinson 16 yard touchdown run in overtime.  That game is remembered for a lot of things including a hit that sidelined Shawne Merriman that he is still upset about, and a horrible call for the Chargers on 4th down when Chris Chambers clearly did not catch the ball but it was ruled that he did.

The Titans traveled to San Diego in the playoffs later that season and lost 17-6 in a game where the Titans offense wouldn't have moved the ball against smash's FRA squad.

Since this is "Thursday Night Football Special Edition on NFL Network" we will get to hear the announcing tandem of Bob Papa and NFL expert Matt Millen.

NFL press release info after the jump.

Hopefully

the law of averages catches up to us on this one and we pull out a win. But I’m not counting on it.

Well luckily for most of you

You don’t live in Southern California surrounded by them…It will be an interesting Christmas night at the bar watching the game with I’m sure will be a large Chargers group.

One thing I just thought about is that the Chargers are the team that let Adrian Peterson rip them for 296 yards only two seasons ago so lets see CJ break that!

NFL Network

Hate the concept. My cable company doesn’t even carry the NFLN. Guess I’m stuck “watching” it over the internet.

i was thinking the same thing midway through the 4th, praying we wouldn’t go to OT because of my memories of that game.
