I say Tulloch
The man turned in an inspired effort today. 13 tackles, 12 solo. Without him, the Dolphins march all over us.

He's really fun to watch
It’s almost like he hides behind the D-line until the RB picks a hole, and then “Hello, welcome to Nashville.”
I like Tulloch, but Bironas saved the day. Other FG kickers today missed plenty
of kicks. Bironas is as sure as they come
Tulloch
once Bullock went out the Dolphins did march all over the Titans…

Sorry, it’s a pet-peeve of mine, and any self-respecting Titans fan should know how to spell the guy’s name by now…
i don't have self respect
pet peeve isn’t hypenated. Any self-respecting human would know how to not use a hyphen by now…

interesting
Booyah can also be hyphenated. Again I think I already stated…I lack self respect. I think I just respect others too much.
I also have little repect for my typing skills.

Tully had an inspired effort.
But i voted Vince simply because the TDs were such great throws.
Whats the opposite of the game ball? Give it to Harper and Fisher to split.

If there was ever a pick that wasnt a QB's fault, that was it
It got tipped like 7 times!

I think it's funny that Johnson gets 159 total yards
and hardly anybody thinks he deserved the game ball. Quite a high bar he has set

I was thinking the same thing.
He said after the game how disappointed he was only getting 100 yards, and that he’d be in the weight room, and film room trying to get better so he could get better.
Side note: Did anyone else catch the NFL network “interview” after the game yesterday where Lendale was asking Vince how it felt to prove his haters wrong? After the interview, Lendale looked at the camera and pleaded to Deion for a job.
yeah and its pretty sad.....
i understand that CJ is our go to guy and he is deserving of it. but to just totally go away from lendale, he was a 1000 yrd rusher himself and the team just neglects the hard work he put in the off season to make his game that much better. its just not right, its not there was a decline in his game to bump him to the kiddies table, and with the looks of ringer he wont be a signing priority this offseason. best of wishes to LW, im sure he’ll find a starting job somewheres else.

"Titans & Texans fan, dont bug me w/your petty b.s., life's confusing enough."
that's just your infactuation w/ all purpose yards talking.....
i think putting points on the board would make a little stronger case. especially if all the throws were over 30 yards, i believe could be wrong dont have the stats right in front of my like most. not taking away from CJ, buts that’s becoming the norm, all year ppl were bashing VY b/c of his throwing skills. and having his first 3 TD game is kind of big. Tully deserves alot of credit too, he was flying to the ball all day, and putting the big hits on ricky boy. not an easy task at all.

Nick Harper
Let me just emphasize what Asian Phil has said: Nick Harper plays the run great. The Titans won today because they made Chad Henne throw the ball 46 times. That’s an awful lot of times for your promising but young QB to throw to your pseudo-promising but unproven core of wide receivers. Compared to the known known of a Ricky Williams rush fest, we have to feel pretty good about making that game plan work. Playing Harper is part of that game plan because stuffing the run means that we turned the Dolphins offense into something one dimensional.
So the comparison point isn’t “what if Rod Hood was defending all those passes that Harper allowed?” Rather, its “how good would Rod Hood have played the run?” If the answer is “not nearly as well as Harper”, (and we can presume it is because if Rod “Jesus” Hood could smoke the pass and the run his ass wouldn’t have been on the street during the NFL season), then you’ve gotta concede their is some reasonable logic to starting Harper. We picked Henne off three times- would we get that many chances to pick him if WIlliams was gouging our D? Certainly play action would be more effective and nothing cuts down on picks like successful play action.
You can’t stop a team unless you can predict what they will do. You can’t predict what they will do until you shut down one facet of their game. The Fins strength is running the ball, so we took that away and made them throw it nearly 50 times. Count that as good coaching.
The decision not to call timeouts near the end of regulation was indefensible, though. Count me on board with that arg.
just to be clear....
I was being sarcastic, but you sort of make a valid point. However, Harper alone didn’t cause the Dolphins to throw 46 times. The defense in general did a good job in stopping the run. Or maybe he is the reason because 90% of those passes were thrown in his direction. I don’t have any stats on that, but from watching the game, thats what it seemed like.
Yes, Harper is a good run support CB. However, he gets killed in pass coverage. Perhaps, for this game it was good for Harper to be out there. But why is Rod Hood inactive? He can’t be so terrible that hes not allowed to suit up and see the field on Dime package situations is he? I mean he started in place of Harper when Harper was injured.
I think the beef is that Harper has consistently been beaten in pass coverage, yet Fisher hasn’t done anything to rectify that. But right now I’m surprised I can form any kind of coherent thought since I hate myself for not going to the New Orleans Bowl.
Fact: Dwight Dasher is a beast.

just for the Dasher comment. WOW. I’m not even remotely a fan of MTSU (though I was rooting for them based on Tennessee affiliation), but definitely a fan of how they played. They repped middle Tennessee well. very well. Dasher’s a junior, right? At any rate, he should definitely be of some use to someone in the NFL.
Yea Dasher's a junior.
Only thing bout him though is that dude is hella short. I am 5’9 on a good day, and I doubt he is taller than me.
He can ball though.
Congratulations
This was a hard-fought game, from both sides. Your team had all the momentum in the first half (following a ridiculous Vontae Davis pick that led us nowhere), and we stole all of it back after Vince led a TD drive to make the margin even wider.
First off, I apologize for the ignorance of name forgetfulness, but I believe it was Tulloch who got hurt? Best wishes to him, hope it’s nothing serious.
Second, your secondary did a phenomenal job of rattling Henne into throwing picks. You said your gameplan was to make him beat you with the passing game, and hell, you made him attempt to. He somehow almost did, but at the end of the day, you did beat us because you forced him to throw a pick when we had every opportunity and 100% of the momentum going our way. Kudos.
I still truly believe Henne will be a great quarterback in this league. The kid shows the heart and ability to one day become one of the best signal callers in this league. Those of you who watched the game could surely appreciate and (to at least some extent) agree with me. I hope, anyway.
Still, today, Vince was the better quarterback and Tennessee was the better team. For that, you deserved the win.
It was nice getting to know you all, and have spirited yet civil debates all week about this game. It finally came, and though in the end I was very disappointed with the way we lost, the team who played better won the game.

Henne looked pretty good
And you guys will need him. I’ve always liked Chad Pennington, but his shoulder is held together with duct tape at this point. Miami will be in great shape if Henne pans out.
It was Bulluck who was hurt, Colin Allred spelled him I believe.
Losing Bulluck was a blow; he’s the defensive captain and has the headset / calls the defensive audibles. The hole he left probably made it harder for us to stem that comeback. Tulloch took over playcalling for him after he went out in the 3rd.

Phinsider moderator Matty = soreloser Douchebag
The guy obviously is a complete and total MORON and another self proclaimed genius who knows zero about football! Who chooses these gomers? This goofball bans me from phinsider because I basically wasn’t gonna kiss the dolphins ass and tell them how great they are. Never used any profanity or insulted anyone but evidently he isn’t a fan of reality like many of these johnny come lately punks.Sorry but Dulfish are nothing but a LUCKY team that finally ran out of luck period! Hey phins fans pass this on to your (ha haha) leader “46”
Bitter much?
Maybe the fact that you came over and did nothing but bash our team in posts all week had something to do with it? No real football conversation, just “Your team sucks and doesn’t deserve to win! Blah, blah, blah.”
Just saying, if you’re gonna come and act like a troll, be willing to accept the consequences. I would expect Jimmy and the moderators here to do the same thing to any of our fans who came over here and didn’t make intelligent comments, but just bashed your team.

What bitter?...... we won
Hey retard! I never bashed anyone over there and have not been there all week stupid. Stop smoking the meth already! Miami fans are the bitter ones making excuses that the refs helped us with bad calls. The true sign of a sore loser. Dolphin fans are just a bunch of little crybabies! I live in Miami and hear these lame-o excuses everytime they get beat. Don’t kid yourself,You weren’t that good to begin with. “46”

unless you are communicating with gramsey in another way, I have read every comment you have had back and forth. So, unless you guys have beef elsewhere, I know exactly the nature of your conversation. I chose to comment, b/c I, like gramsey and basically the entire board, do not like your message board writing style.

No.. my beef is with anyone telling me what I can and cant say. Him, you or anyone! My advice to all of you, if we don’t have a beef don’t start one with me and there wont be a problem
I think
You offended some people with a particular word that you said that I won’t repeat.
Just gotta watch what you say sometimes.
Theoretically, everyone here is on the same side as this website is designed for Titans fans. When I am on the same side, or team if you will, as other people, I treat them with respect. If someone on this board is offended by me saying the word pickle, then I will not write pickle anymore. It not about politcal correctness or being a pansy, its about treating others around you (particularly people with whom you you have a common bond) with respect.

First off since you throw that respect word around. No one will respect anyone butting in a conversation and telling you what to say and how to say it. Sorry that a word has turned your worlds upside down.
Apology Accepted
See what you have yet to understand is that I have not told you once what to say or how to say it . I simply asked you to be respectful. You have translated that into an attack on your way of life.

That's a little strong
Although he should have had the pick, it bouncing back to the receiver was a fluke. Definitely wouldn’t give him a game ball, though. He’s just not been back to last year’s form yet at all.
by numbertenox on Dec 21, 2009 12:44 AM CST up reply actions
he didn't "give up the game"
but he did play like garbage before that.. plus, that interception was right in his arms.
The ball was thrown right to him with no receiver anywhere near him
It was great to get the pick there, but it’s not like it was a super play. Making the first pick with a receiver trying to strip the ball from him would have been a super play.
VY. Definitely.
Throwing for 3 TDs. That’s what won the game. If KC is in there, this game is a loss, pure and simple.
DannoE
"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."
No doubt, VY played a great game.
Our offense is miles better when he is under center, and his game today proves it. We need to focus on the defense during the offseason because our offense is gonna be great next year.
this is a great New segment. can i suggest another?
I’d love to see a follow-up to the key plays to victory. lets see how close we stayed to the keys points.

Mark Howard, Kevin Dyson and Blaine Bishop actually said, on the radio, that Nick Harper was the player of the game.
I have spent the last 14 hours trying to figure out what game they were watching.
True that.
They threw it at him almost every time. Recievers were wide open every play. Maybe Fisher payed them to say it.

The better team won!
Titans gotta learn how to put these ham and egger teams away and quit letting them hang around and mount comebacks! Ridiculous that it even came down to overtime! “46”
Congratulations guys.
This game was as close and tough as I was afraid it would be. I swear my team is gonna give me heart failure with these close games. LOL I really thought that you guys were gonna put it away at halftime, and when we started the comeback I started getting nervous again. I think I damn near crapped myself when we tied it up on the 2-pt conversion.
I was ecstatic when we got the ball first in OT, but your defense stepped up when it mattered the most and got you the win. You guys played a great game and good luck with the rest of the season (but not too much, we still need that playoff spot). And I hope that Bulluck’s injury isn’t too bad and he’s able to make it back for you guys.
