"Adrian is great," Rams DE Chris Long said, "but Chris Johnson can go the distance on any play and you won't get a hand on him. With AP, he's going to do something crazy where he runs somebody over or puts a disgusting move on them, stiff-arming somebody off their feet. But people don't touch CJ. It's really amazing."
"One, Chris Johnson doesn't have as many weapons around him but he still makes plays," Cardinals DT Darnell Dockett said. "You can look at the Titans' line and know they're going to run the ball, and he still gets it done. Two, Tennessee's line is good but it's not quite as good as Minnesota's. Three, he doesn't fumble like AP."
Sports Illustrated polled six personnel people and six players on whether they would take Chris Johnson or Adrian Peterson if they were to start a team. CJ got the unanimous vote of all the players, while AP got the unanimous vote of the general managers and personnel directors.

I'll take the judgement of the players on the field

Exactly
Who are they more afraid of? That should definitively answer the question of who the best back in the league is
Besides,
23 GMs already passed on CJ
"We really feel like we can go 10-0 in these last ten games...we’re trying to do something nobody has ever done." Chris Johnson

That's an interesting take from the GM's.
I would have guessed that they’d be leery of AP. He’s such a punishing runner, and runs so up right that you can’t expect a long career out of him. I mean, there is only so long that a guy that’s 6’1", 217 can take that kind of a beating week in and week out.
CJ on the other hand, never seems to take the big hit. They are both incredible backs, but I’m taking CJ, if for no other reason than he’ll be around longer.
Depends
on how many times CJ has to face a rex ryan team in the playoffs!

Also, finally someone else admits that APs fumbles are a HUGE problem.
