that would make a 53 man roster. i have ten players total that we must draft and pick up through free agency.
overall i think that our team only needs to build depth through the draft and free agency. the main priority is resigning keith bullick or we will suffer from the lack of resigning him like we did haynesworth this year. he may be getting old, but he still has the IT factor and is our leader on defense. kevin mawae has already mentioned that he will likely stay in the game a little while longer so i look for him to play until he is forty. i said brett kern over aj trapasso because he is a better holder and is generating chemistry with bironas this year. plus he is doing pretty well punting for us. our kick return and coverage units have got to get better, this is an absolute must. some might say we are in desperate need of a defensive lineman but i think the guys we have are doing well enough to force pressure, especially having another year together. a few cuts are gonna be hard but necessary in my opinion. lendale white, kyle vandenbosch, and even eugene amano could generate some great draft picks. we have to play it smart. we must get younger especially on defense. i think we have a solid team and overall only need to make a few changes. some of the players i have elected to keep our really gonna have to step up next year to show that they can stick around. but keeping most of the guys together will only make them better versus splitting them up.
anyways this is my two cents on what we should do going into next year. leave your comments as i'm sure i will have plenty disagree with me, especially on cutting lendale white and kyle vandenbosh.

looks good
? What happenned to Hope? Are you not high on him? I figure Griff (who I love) to be on the hot seat. Every game I have recorded it seems Griff is out of position alot. Hopefully he will get it together. but drafting a high round safety will definitely put some pressure on the starters…..competition is a good thing.
I think Jones and Marks could develop into a serious tackle duo..with brown in the mix. I could see us drafting a dominant force on the end though to make our D line elite
again..it all starts there.
I agree with KR as well….it would be cool if we could draft a scat back like sproles to be our return guy and quick change of pace all purpose guy who gets 6 – 10 touches on offense.

i say cut hope...
because he is getting older and not really that dominant. griff is just having a bad year. i see him bouncing back next year, but he is one of those i mentioned needing to step up or losing his job the following year. and our d line just needs more experience together and they will improve. i think our secondary needs more help than our d line with this years early draft picks or if we can find someone really good in free agency.

Not horrible
You forgot about Haye. I doubt we cut him after just signing him last year.
Also, I think we will hold on to Hope if it all possible. Griff was the bigger problem this year and I don’t see him having another bad year.
Other than that I am good with what you described.

i partially agree
haye could possibly stick around but i anticipate some coaching changes after this year even possibly fisher leaving. if this happens haye will possibly not stick around. he didnt really wow me all that much this year. but he should only get better though right?

Must upgrade pass rush!!
Too many times this year we had zero pass rush. Either through the draft or a free agent (Julius Peppers, Shawn Merriman), the pass rush has to improve if this team expects to beat the Colts. Jacob Ford is a nice player, we need a dominant player at that position. I still would have no problem adding a huge run stuffer on the Dline. Our guys are all right at 300lbs, we need a 330lb beast in there to draw double teams. This should be a good free agent market for corners so I would rather get an experienced corner like Carlos Rogers or Marlin Jackson (Coach Fisher loves him some Colts), trhan deal with a young corners growing pains. Keep Keith Bulluck!! The Titans have the cap room to do any and all of the above.

i seriously think our d line is just lacking more time together.
were not that bad of a d line. not great, but not bad. another year of experience is only gonna help us.

i really think our main needs our a game changing safety and depth at o line.
its surprising no one has attacked me yet over cutting lendale white.

You beat me to the punch!!
White needs to be given more of a chance (IMO) just because I think it compiments C…ya…J to have a power back to change up the attack (especially at the goal line). Unless you want to replace him with another power back, in which case I’m ok with it. Also…I have to say I’m not really a NW fan…maybe replace him with someone who can actually catch.

no i was talking about replacing white with ringer.
and then drafting a scat back and special teamer for returns. i think washington will eventually come around, because he didnt have the drop problems in pittsburgh. so he should get better about dropping them. it’s like u said, nate needs more of a chance to prove himself. he definately has the speed to play in the slot. he an get some favorable matchups in the slot.

Hey arilou...I really do know how to spell compliments.
by titansfan4ever on Dec 16, 2009 11:37 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
Since you brought it up...
it should be complements, unless you mean that LenDale says nice things to CJ, like…
“Man, I don’t care what everyone else says…I think your dreads look great!”
