Vince Young Missed Friday Practice; Listed as Questionable
The Tennessean is reporting via it's Twitter page that Vince Young did not practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams. Vince said yesterday after practice that he will play Sunday:
Young, asked if he would play, said: "Heck yeah, you know me better than that. I’ll be out there.
Jeff Fisher's post-practice presser hasn't been posted yet, but I am sure it will have some in-depth information on VY's status.

I don't
at least it’s the Rams this week.

I hope he plays…I just put him as my starter in fantasy over Campbell and I think I got Sanchez on that team too

air mcnair....
never had to play out the rest of the season to prove if he was our franchise qb or not, and most times that he played hurt it was for something worthy of it. as smash said, its against the rams, i think even KC could beat them. i just hope ppl dont read into KC’s play if he has a career day (im sure there are ppl still willing to make a case of KC over VY…maybe we’ll see our first glimpse of JoyKat, so im hopin VY does play), b/c first of all based on his career that still wouldnt be much, and again its THE RAMS and VY doesnt play on the D Line as is what is really important to stop S Jax. but saying that i still think he will play, but just hoping that he doesnt force it for a meaningless game that can be won without him.

Steve spent the first half of his career
playing pretty much every game trying to prove he was our franchise quarterback.

the man lead us to a super bowl....
in his fourth year as a pro, b/c he did not even start his rookie season, so really its 3 years as a starter. that would make it less than the first half of his career, what else is there to prove, i would think a QB that could take us to a super bowl would be enough to solidify his position as our franchise QB (i believe he got his new deal following that season if im not misaken). we knew what we were drafting down here in Houston at the time.

i want him to play
As much as i want CJ to break that record i would much rather see VY get as much playing time as he can so the FO can evaluate his contract next year.

I'm not sure still..
..but I hope he plays. Like smash said, it’s the Rams. I’d hope we wouldn’t need him to win this game, but it’d be good for the team to see him play for the remainder of the season.

If it is up to him he will play
I’m just not sure if it will be up to him.
personally I’d like to see him out there just so Collins doesn’t have a chance to win his job back when he goes 9 of 12 w/ 1TD and 0INT. “LOOK HOW WELL HE MANAGED THE GAME!!! HE MANAGED THE SHIT OUT OF THAT GAME!!!!” we might have to open up the KC/VY thread again.

That wouldn't do it
Unless VY had won this latest bundle of games while having turnover and WTF type plays during the stretch. Then you’d have the “we’ve been winning in spite of him” type think. That has clearly, clearly not been the case this time. VY has been a big contributor to ending the loss streak, not just riding along on other factors.
Kerry could throw for Drew Brees numbers this Sunday and you still wouldn’t have a controversy. I think VY is now the dude. The only way his star falls again is if he starts to play like he did during the slump for an extended stretch of games, or has an emotional issue / major tantrum again. I honestly don’t expect either of those to happen. I don’t think the past games have been a fluke; I think he’s really gotten better and isn’t likely to regress.

calm down
it was just a joke about the KC backers and Fisher’s love of KC over VY. I know the job is Vince’s for at least the rest of the season.

Sorry,
just the idea of another KC VY series of threads gives me DTs

He'll play
I’d bet my paycheck on it. I know it’s the Rams, but he is on a mission to prove who he is, and playing hurt would add a lot to his Rep with teammates and fans and the NFL media in general.

It's dumb to play him this week against the Rams.
Rest the knee and get him ready for a very tough three-game stretch coming up.

What's the point?
We need him healthy in the future are we’re out of contention now. Why make Vince suffer a setback or complication to prove his manliness?

out of contention?
Last time I checked we were still mathematically alive – and pittsburgh lost last night which is good for us.

not only that
but its a football game. against a football team. its not a “W” until we win. and vince is a professional football player. if hes healthy enough to play, which i dont see him not being, he should be in the game

and why is everyone writing off the rams?
They almost beat new orleans a month ago and have been competitive despite their record…

the season isn't over!...
until jacksonville wins two more games :D…they play the Dolphins, Colts, and Patriots, then the almighty steeler crushing BROWNS :D…plus if the gayvens & jets lose 2, steelers lose 1, and we WIN OUT, we go to the playoffs!

Thats what I'm talking about!
Its not even that far fetched. Mark my words – one of the afc wildcards will be a 9-7 team.

Seriously, it's not that far fetched
Another thing people are forgetting is that weather is going to play a part in a lot of upcoming games. So…games that appear to be easy to predict may not be that easy.

Every win is important right now, Rams or not.
Vince needs to be out there. The best players in each position need to be out there in every game if they can. You can’t take ANY NFL team lightly..even the rams.
Every game is a playoff game for us. Can’t risk anything from here on out.
