We have been politely explaining to Titans fans this week that Finnegan is a douche.

by nolander on Nov 21, 2009 2:15 AM CST up reply actions

Getting fined by the league numerous times for actions on the field is of course no indication of whether a player is dirty or not, its obviously a conspiracy.

Am I the only one?

I watch all the plays Finnegan makes, and they all look clean to me.

signed,

August West

you're entitled to your opinion

obviously the nfl and virtually everybody else disagrees

The nfl fined Johnson $7500 for a facemask, which you bring up two months later. He did not pull hair. Show me the evidence of that. It sounds good on your little attempt at a burn. (Are you wanting a BOOM! from Jimmy?) But it didn’t happen.

The nfl did fine Finnegan $10000 for last sunday’s two violations. But I’m sure they were clean, and there’s a vast conspiracy to fine Finnegan for clean plays.

the unsubstantiated claim.

If you think last Sunday was dirty.....

If by dirty you mean a THIRD consecutive abusing at the hands of AJ, leaving him covered in dust....

The yes, I agree.

Go back and watch the tape of those games

and tell me how many of AJ’s big catches are on Finnegan. I am so sick of the Texans fans making that claim. If you want to call him dirty, whatever, but the big plays just haven’t been on Finnegan and you make yourself look stupid every time you make that claim.

Dream on! Finnegan has shut AJ down before. “46”

you're entitled to your opinion

Uh I read an article where one of the texan players(dont know who article never said) claims to have kept a piece of finnegans hair for starters. “46”

by oilzwell on Nov 22, 2009 12:54 PM CST up reply actions

How is Finnegan dirty?

Is it because he’s one of the best open-field tacklers in the league and he’s a CB? Is it because he trash talks? If so I would love every player on defense to be “dirty”.

In no way is he like Rodney Harrison, the epitome of “dirty”.

Christie kicks it high and short...Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25...He dishes it back to Wycheck...He throws it across the field to Dyson...

Really? Funny the league and th players don't see it your way.

But I’m sure you know better than them.

Well the league fines anybody for anything... Finnegan hasn't ever been suspended for a bad hit or anything

But I guess that mean Bulluck is a dirty player, too.

And if you think that he’s dirty, give an example.

the numerous examples of finnegan's dirty play

have all been explained away as a vast conspiracy.

So believe what you want. We all have opinions.

Smushiak will take us to the playoffs in 2009.

by texanphil on Nov 21, 2009 3:54 PM CST up reply actions

And that's great that you have that opinion

But nobody can ever come up with an example. Sure, when you look at his overall play, he’s a scrappy little SOB. That doesn’t make him dirty.

Dirty: The Albert Haynesworth stomp

Dirty: Rodney Harrison’s infamous headshots

Dirty: Bill Romanowki spitting in people’s faces

Dirty: Kevin Mawae’s alegged junk grabbing in the pile

See. Those are examples. And I admit there are some Titan’s, past and present, that can be accused of dirty play.

re: Harrison's headshots

Do you mean like a helmet to helmet hit on a QB?

Would that be dirty in your opinion?

Smushiak will take us to the playoffs in 2009.

by texanphil on Nov 21, 2009 7:19 PM CST up reply actions

I'd have to see it

Finnegan reminds me of Jordin Tootoo. Different sport, but both try to agitate and get into their opponent’s head. I don’t think that equals dirty. I remember at the time of that fine that a lot of people felt the headshot was questionable. I don’t even remember the spearing…he was probably trying to make a tackle on a quarterback that usually moves.

by Great Paperclip on Nov 22, 2009 12:52 PM CST up reply actions

Johnson is a marked man bet on it

Wow, what a bunch of texan crybabies infiltrating our boards! All that bitching & whining about Finnegan means he’s obviously a great corner that has your number. The only fans that use the dirty player excuse (with Finnegan)are the one’s whos top receiver just got manhandled. Your only hope is Harper covering him which won’t happen. Plus we all know what a big tough guy Johnson is when his entire teams bench is fighting his battles for him Lol. Paybacks a bitch Andre! “46”

P.S. Just to settle this once and for all. These people who claim to have followed the oilers and are now texans fans are traitors in my book ! Titans are the same Oilers you ran outta town whether you like it or not. Don’t cry when we dismantle your pretend team Monday night!

Only one thing missing

Too bad we cant wear our 1960 powder blue throwbacks when we go back to our “old” home and further rub it in the texan traitor fanbase. Hey thats a better name for them, The Texan Traitors rolls right off the tongue. :0 “46”
