It's amazing how differently things seem
when you can hear what’s going on as opposed to being in the stands or watching on TV.

Great
stuff,
anyone else notice Coach was rather mad at Heimerdinger ( it seemed ) when he challenged the play ( just for a timeout ) because of the right personel not being out there? I thought it was funny

Watching the game
My buddy commented that the ref was laughing when he was delivering the call after the challenge.
Guess we know why now.

That was a lot of fun to watch!

yea i gotta admit, i was wrong about fisher
he appeared to be very active in that game. it just seems normally he’s not. usually when u seem fish on the sidelines he just has his arms folded and his sunglasses on. really makes me proud to say that is our hc. i especially love his YEAH BABY yells.

I bet he always is.
Fans just don’t notice it though.

Agreed
Fans are watching the plays as the occur and then are shouting and hi-fiving each other when Fish is having a conniption on the sideline.
Next time CJ busts a 70+ yarder, contain yourself and look at coach- I bet you see him doing the leg-kick-Howard-Dean-growl.

Gosh
That explained about 2 or 3 things that I am proud to admit that I knew all along. I knew the commentators were stupid. I wanted the timeout back because they moved the ball, too. So that explained that the QB called a timeout before the flag. Even though that is a little shitty on the refs part. I mean if they came over to challenge it with Jeff, then that is a challenge and not a timeout by the QB. If they had really thought it was a timeout, they should have never been talking to Jeff and smiling and shit. We should have got the ball moved and our timeout back.

its been said many times that you dont challnge a spot, you challenge the ruling, therefore when you challenge that call (or a first down) youre not saying the ball should be at the 1 not the 1.5, youre saying the ball should be past the first down/endzone. so you only get the timeout back if thats the case.
(thats what announcers consistently say once a week anyways)

An easier way to think about it is
You can only challenge the spot if it is involving the first down or goal line.
You can’t challenge a spot on a play that gained 4 yards when you needed 9 for a first down.
That is why Coach Fisher said if moving the spot had resulted in a first down, he would have gotten the timeout back.
