I recently had the privilege to go and check out the BRB and boy are they confident they will win Monday. It was actually the first time I had been there. Follow the link to see what they said about shutting down CJ, and VY (obviously they have all the answers)
TEXANS FAN: (predicting the win) WIN? Monday night? Battle Red? Inferior opponent? Hot crowd? Yeah, I gotta say I like our chances.
I don't know about you guys but the words "Inferior opponent" really get my blood boiling!

I've never been
treated worse as a visiting fan than I was last year at Reliant after we lost to the Jr. Oilers.

We aren't going on there calling you a douchebag.
We tend to wipe our feet when we come into someone else’s house. At least the actual MCM members. Not just some troll Titans fans who are only members of BRB. We also don’t get upset on there when ya’ll continually run us down. You can say what you want at your place.

Stop CJ? As with any good running back, the key is not to stop them, you don't "stop" the great running backs....
The key is to CONTAIN them.
That is something the Texans have been very good about over the last 6 games. In fact, league leading you might even say.
The Texans have to keep CJ to short gains, don’t let him break the 60 yarders, and force VY to try and figure out what a pass is.

yes i am a different breed the way i root for both the titans and the texans. but hey im the living proof, it happens. i root for both my teams to the max when they are not squaring off against eachother, and it does get weird when they do square off. but im just one of those fans that wished the oilers never left, and in that time they did i just followed them where they went, even if my love did get a new dress. and ill always hate that damn lanier, so really that hate and the mix with the passion for my team i tend to lean more towards the titans. especially when they drafted the hometown boy to pick up the reigns (just to clarify that VY is the only reason i root for the titans), which works out great b/c mcnair(rip) was the original texan killer, it’d be a shame for VY not to follow tradition. lol

the oilers were more run out of town. hey im a texans fan too, but i was an oiler fan first, just b/c all of a sudden you wanna care NOW than when it was more important back then. not to say the fans could have done anything about it those were all decisions behind closed doors, your just one of the ones that it finally hit when the oilers were gone. and now you want to rep the texans to a point to where your just making yourself look like…..A LOSER.

But, by and large, that’s what fans on message boards do.
Titans fans haven’t really had to pay too much attention to Texans fans in our team’s short history. Recently, however, that’s changed – the Texans are no longer an automatic W. I think some Titans fans have all of a sudden been forced to take the Texans seriously and realized how much the average Texan fan truly dislikes the Titans. It didn’t matter so much when you guys were winning, but those days are over.
A word of advice – don’t be so thin-skinned. Internet sports forums are full of homers – MCM is no different. Don’t take it so seriously. It’s only the internet.
Also, you’re more than free to join the discussion over at BRB. It’s highly unlikely you’ll get banned.

for the record, texans fans, most titans fans still don’t care too much about the texans.
advice:
have a winning season, the needle on the gauge with tick a little.
win the division once, maybe things change a bit.
get the all time series at least in the ball park of .500 (currently 11-4) and you can say you are in our heads.
have one season where you are a legitimate threat in the AFC (no, this season definitely doesn’t count), and we will be impressed.
none of the above has occurred. maybe this is (finally) the season where the texans get to break .500 and MAYBE (gasp) MAYBE even be 1st round cannon fodder. but it hasn’t happened yet, so don’t confuse a team in the middle of a bummer season with any sort of acknowledgment from “most” titans fans.
on (finally) “not being an automatic W”: CONGRATS ON YOUR PARTICIPATION MEDAL!
just remember that even in the middle of that gawd awful 0-6 start, you guys were very fortunate to walk out with a W:
jacoby jones never caught that td the refs gave him.
owen daniels killed us last time (sucks he got hurt).
harper gave up a TD and a PI in the endzone (he gone!)
a stupid rule (which was correctly interpreted, but stupid nonetheless) took away a titans 1st and goal at the 6.
and the texans still needed kerry collins to literally drop the ball on his own to seal the win. ummmm i guess that’s a resume highlight…
the secondary is nowhere near as bad as it was in week 2. the source of the titans 2 turnovers last time has been put out to pasture and the defense is back to causing turnovers again. to say this is an improved titans team from last time would be a bit of an understatement.
also remember that vince (a.k.a. “your daddy”) is going to be playing under the bright lights, in front of his home fans, where he is batting .500 in the “standing ovation” department as an NFL qb.
so you guys are facing a qb who owns you, a running back who set records on you last time, and a defense that is at least mediocre instead of the dumpster fire that surrendered 34 points. this is a scenario that gives you reason for optimism? it must be tough being a texans fan.

Example:
Going into the Texans game everyone expected a Titans win.
Going into those other games noone did.
We were a COMPLETELY different team as well when we played you in that game.
Consider this….
First 3 games of the season, Texans defense was Dead LAST against the run.
Over the last SIX games the Texans LEAD the league in Rushing defense and also lead the league in forcing three and outs.
So if you want to argue that you are a different team, guess what? So are we.
