Help Make Jeff Fisher Feel Like a Winner this Christmas
Some of you may have heard by now that Jeff Fisher wore a Peyton Manning jersey a few weeks ago. Keith Bulluck had the best response saying he felt like a winner every time he put on his #53 jersey. With all of that in mind, Posse came up with the fantastic idea that we should take up a collection here to send a Keith Bulluck jersey to Jeff Fisher with a note that reads:
"For Christmas we wanted our coach to feel like a winner.
signed,
MCM"
That is a great idea, and I think we should make it happen. Here is what you can do to help: head over to PayPal by clicking here. Send the money to titansmcm@gmail.com. We should be able to get quite a few people in on this, so a few dollars is all anyone needs to contribute. August had the idea for everyone to end their donation amount with 53 cents.
I will go buy the jersey once we have enough money and will take a picture of the jersey and the card and post it here for everyone to see. If you have any questions or concerns let me know (titansmcm@gmail.com).
Let's make this happen!
[UPDATE]- We will keep the donations going through the first week in December. Any extra money will be donated to Keith Bulluck's Believe and Achieve Foundation. More info on the foundation here. Great idea there by gramsey.
[Put back up top by August West, since donations will close this week]

Personal is better...
From my experience, the recipient has to pay fees if Purchase is used, but there are no fees if Personal is used and the payment is sent from a bank account rather than a credit card. So you can maximize your donation by using Personal and your checking account.
i'm fully on record that jerseygate is a bunch of baloney
but this is awesome.

I also wasn't bothered by the Jersey thing...
As I’ve already said… but this is great.
I’ve sent my contribution.
I like it
I told you we would beat Georgia!! Now, as for those 9 wins in '09......

Also
Can we get some sort of countdown to a goal? Like one of those giant thermometers that fills up as we add money?
i think we'll have the money for a jersey sooner than that countdown can be uploaded..
at least i hope so..this is a no-brainer!

Which email address do we send it to?

Better idea I think..
is to do what we’ve been seeing at a few other camps and buy a billboard near the stadium. That will get noticed and be on TV. Put a MCM.com logo on it, too.
The message could be whatever we all decided. Something inspiring as opposed to what the other billboards have been doing around the league with bashing and poking fun of their local downtrodden teams. A clever “we believe in you” kind of message…
How much does a billboard run?
yikes:

Looks like thousands.
I cannot read through the jargon too well as it is not my thing, but just glancing at the numbers lets stick with Posse/Gramsey’s idea. lol
yea and put fisher next to collins
LOL

Nicely done, guys!
I love it! I’ve donated my share! Keep up the good ideas! btw… it was a VERY nice touch to send the extra (which hopefully there will be) to Bulluck’s charity!
Another idea
While all seem to be in a giving mood, feel free to donate to the ‘Kayne wants to feel like a Winner’ fund. Thanks!

Pure Awesome Sauce
As soon as payday rolls around you can count on my donation to show up too. This is one of the best ideas I have ever seen.
I hope the K-Bull takes notice of it and starts frequenting the site. It would be awesome if he saw how much support we throw behind him!
It was all just a huge misunderstanding!
Fisher actually said he wanted to feel like a “wiener”.

You know...
I thought about making that joke just a moment ago as I was waiting for this page to load enough for me to start jumping to the unread comments…
Thanks for admitting that
I just assumed I was the only one on MCM who would stoop so low as to post really bad puns. And, even then, it’s only because I am making my bid for the title of Official MCM Smartass.

You want dumb jokes?
I didn’t know we could roll like that, just give me some time. ;-)
I told you we would beat Georgia!! Now, as for those 9 wins in '09......

If we post too many, though,
Jimmy will probably banish us to a separate thread like the old one for VY vs KC fanatics.

Tacky Idea...
…tacky execution. And it comes from the flawed idea that what Coach Fisher did was a big deal.
Someone might say this idea is humorous like Coach Fisher’s wearing the Colts jersey. While that might be true – that attempts at humor are present in both – the glaring difference is that Coach Fisher’s was lighthearted and done to draw attention to a good cause. This counter smacks of petty retribution and is blatently disrespectful toward one of the greatest coaches in the League and the man most singularly responsible for the successes our beloved franchise has enjoyed.
Anyone contributing: your money would be better served going straight to Keith’s charity or St. Jude’s as an alternate.

You don't see the humor here?
It’s biting, but funny.
PERHAPS YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS TACKY!

Not reading?
So did you not read my post. I obviouslly said attempts at humor were involved in bot but where Fisher’s were lighthearted and for a good cause this counter smacks of pettiness.
Maybe you should read the post better before replying… and take your caps lock off first. ;)

You know what preacher man?
Putting a little fancy juvenile character smily face after your comment doesn’t make it less dickish.
See what I mean?:)
I guess you are right man.
You are the expert on dickish.
:)

aw come on
I don’t see this as petty. There’s nothing mean-spirited about it… I’d imagine it’ll get a chuckle from coach.
