These aren't the Rams or Chiefs or Buccaneers, who knew they were going to struggle because of turnovers and talent issues. These are the Titans, who seemingly have a nice blend of experience and youth, toughness and finesse and trust to be anywhere near the brink of playing a make-or-break game in October.
However, that is where they are.
Steve Wyche thinks that the Titans may be the best 0-4 team ever.

I just don't see it...
Until they show me something they are just as bad as kc, rams, and the bucs.

Maybe I am in denial
but the Titans just don’t look like an 0-5 or 0-6 team to me. A lot of factors (bad luck, bad coaching, injuries, etc) combined to cause the first four losses, but I still think that with a few more people healthy and little bit of luck, we have a solid chance to beat the Colts and/or NE. Am I the only one?

I agree
That we have a chance to beat either one or both…I think deep down we are a good/descent football team. The only thing I’m saying is that until I see some hussel or a W they are just as bad as the crap teams of the league

i'm with you bro
everyone on this site has already written us off. i think if we change up the blitz packages, get back to our run first philosophy and get some bounces that we haven’t been getting at all this year we have a decent chance at winning this game. indy is soft on the run – anyone who watched the miami game knows this. lendale needs the get the ball alot more than he has been, especially in the red zone.
we’ve only been properly beat in the jacksonville game. people need to stop panicking.

yeah but theyve yet to do that since, so what makes you think theyll do it since. if theyd done that in any game so far they could have a very good record, but for some reason they dont. hence the frustration.

panic
happened while laying down to the jags. now i’m just resigned. this team has a lot of good pieces, but if you can’t begin to stop the pass and you sure as hell aren’t outscoring anybody, you have a team that produces really bad results.

Apparently, frequently
In fact, let’s all start running around the room screaming, waving our hands in the air, and crying like litte girls. Would that make it all better?

when we're mathematically eliminated
Did I spell that right? Anyhow, I think we’ve played well enough to be a .500 football team. That being said, we’re in tough against the colts, but I think if we win this game it can change our momentum…

Run-first philosophy
I agree with this completely.
But realize that if CJ pops off a 92-yarder in 8 seconds, Manning will have plenty of time to come back and drop bombs for TD’s.
Like you say, not only do we need to get back to the run-first philosophy, but we need to give the Colts D a healthy dose of LenDale to grind out the clock and to keep Manning from exploiting our seemingly TERRIBLE pass defense.

A little bit of luck?
A few more healthy people? Unless there is some new biomedical/nano technology that can reverse the aging process of KVB and Nick Harper, we’re f’d. When David Garrard goes for 323 and 3 TDs, what do you think Peyton will do? Luck ain’t fixing this.

Maybe not, but since when was
panic a winning strategy? We will clearly need to make more adjustments if we go 0-5 and then 0-6, but at one time or another you’ve listed about half the team as problems. I don’t think it’s practical to cut the whole roster mid-year and start over.

A winning strategy?
I’ve got news for you. If Kerry is throwing the ball 38 times, they better have an excuse like “panic”. If they don’t, a coach deserves to lose their job.
And, yeah, a lot of the team is responsible. Maybe half of the starters. Cut half the team? What are you talking about? When did I say that?
These guys get paid big money to perform. They’re not. They deserve the criticism.

Hey!
I listed “bad coaching” as one of our problems at the top of thus thread. I don’t understand Dinger’s play calling anymore than you do. But, there’s a middle ground between doing nothing and firing everybody, like maybe Fisher could gently suggest that Dinger adapt his strategy a little (and, my use of “gently” was intended to be humor.)

"Properly Beat"
I love it, that is hilarious! You make seem as if we’re playing a British sport of etiquette.
