Titans are Cursed. Seriously.
LenDale White and Keith Bullock are responsible for turning a 13-2 team into a subsequent 0-6 disaster. They invoked the Curse of The Terrible Towel with their inane actions, stomping on Pittsburgh's iconic towel. Ask the Bengals if the Curse is real. Houshmandzadeh wiped his cleats with a Terrible Towel a la LenDale after his team had beaten the Steelers to go to 9-3 in 2005. They lost 3 of their next 5 including a playoff loss to the Steelers, and then slid down to mediocrity and worse. Sound familiar? The only difference is that the Titans' slide has been even faster. At least the Bengals could blame the injury to Carson Palmer.

Like I said yesterday:
Blaming our 0-4 start on some curse related to a towel is like blaming an earthquake on throwing salt over the wrong shoulder: it’s a convenient way to console the stupid.

WAAH! WAAH!
I sense a bit of hostility and bitterness on this here blog. The Titans have proven me and everyone else who knew who they were right this season: a team that took advantage of an easy schedule, a lack of injuries, and the struggles of its division rivals to sweep to a 13-3 record and the top seed in the AFC. I wasn’t fooled. The reaction of a few puerile gasbags after the Titans’ victory over Pittsburgh last year reinforced made me consider just who the Titans were. Tennessee’s loss at home to a clearly inferior Ravens team that was starting a rookie quarterback further substantiated my opinion. And the Titans 0-4(soon to be 0-6) start confirms it. The Titans aren’t the way they are because they invoked a devastating curse. They aren’t winless because Jeff Fisher is a bad coach. They aren’t a laughingstock because Albert Haynesworth is gone. The Tennessee Titans, quite frankly, can’t handle success. And as long as they have childish divas on their team, they won’t.
Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.

things happen....
that are unfortunate, things like missed FG’s (did everybody see mares game not too long ago) and fumbles (i dont want to open that wound). so your team won the super bowl, congrats, be happy. but be grateful that you did not play us to win it, and about those unfortunate FG’s we get one of those 2 this year and you dont win the game. but it is what it is, so like i said, feel good you dodged a bullet. twice b/c we softened up the ravens for you.

this is cool
I love tons of facts, and that’s what you delivered. Everything you thought but never said WAS right! All of the divas on the team are bringing us down! They’re getting big heads just from playing in the media spotlighted center of the universe that is Nashville, Tennessee-and it needs to stop now! We can’t handle success either-an intangible stat that you once again skillfully bring from nowhere to the forefront. And your ALT-F4 sig…why, everyone on the internet must have done the same thing I did and I bet they were as surprised as I was when their window closed! What a new and fashionable trick!

THERE IS NO TOWEL CURSE.
A ‘Curse’ is all mental, it happens when you ALLOW it to happen.
Think of Achilles in ‘Troy’ when he beheaded the statue of Apollo. Everyone thought they were going to be cursed by ‘upsetting the Gods’. (Achilles didn’t care cause he knows its all bull, the strongest survive).
Or when the Trojans thought the Spartans were ‘cursed’ and they fled back home and so the Trojans brought in that horse. (They played on the Trojans gullibility, the smartest survive).
The Titans have to be stronger and smarter than the other teams. They don’t have that mental urgency and motivation they had last year. They feel that they can be defeated, therefore they are being defeated.
Titans have the skills to be a great team, even for the rest of the year. They just need to get that passion back. The passion when you see the opposing player and believe with all your heart he stole your momma’s television set.
This season has been all mental mistakes. Dropped passes, Muffed kick return catches, Wrong plays, Bad strategy. All fixable if they just come out with some fire and hit hard from the very beginning. Titans need to regain their ‘no-mistake-must-score-now-and-kill-you’ mentality, once they do..the ‘curse’ will be broken.

Missing Jim Schwartz?
Hey Titan fans. A Lions fan (unfortunately) here just wondering what your feelings are about Jim Schwartz.
He seems like he’s a great coach… Smart as hell, philosophical, demanding and tough all rolled into one. And he’s young too.
It seems like he might finally be the guy to get us on the right path but what I’m wondering is how Titan fans felt about him when he was D coordinator. Did you even know much about him? Did he have this presence when he was there? And is the defense lacking without him this year? What do you think?
Just wondering, thanks.
