Mark Jones Placed on IR; Titans Sign Alvin Pearman

The hamstring issue that kept Mark Jones sidelined in practice yesterday has now landed him on IR. What a strange year it has been with the Titans and Mr. Jones. Alvin Pearman was signed to take his place. Pearman is a running back by trade and is also a return man. I would assume he will take over the return duties immediately.

I have said the same thing about Hawkins
Why not try him at returner, hell he can’t do worse than what we have seen thus far this year.

was supposedly the best returner at Rutgers but the coaches never let him do it, so he was always listed as “second string”.
this guy is pretty much the definition of bottom of the barrel. basically hasn’t played the last 2 seasons, 81 career punt returns in 05-06, 8.6 per return long of 29. also 14 kick returns for 22.4 per, and a long of 34. nothing really to get excited about there.

I think that is way overblown
These 2 teams play each other twice a year and have for a long time. Pearman knows some terminology stuff, but I really don’t think he can add much outside of that. The Titans coaches know this team pretty much as well as Pearman does.

Way too much is assumed about how much a player from one team can help another, maybe if he was a long time qb or the linebacker calling defenses, but not a position player. Our coaches know what they want to do, the trick is executing.
