i can’t wait till you eat those words you just posted. you say u seen him play at texas. well that’s in college man. this is the big leagues man, WAKE UP! and besides every highlight reel from his college days i’ve ever seen are his big run plays. face it he can’t pass very well. i hope he develops just like every titans fan does, but the fact is he likely won’t. as far as the “true” titans fans? please, let’s be real man. go root for your own team the texans. the TENNESSEE titans would be much better without your dumb ass.

The only thing more annoying that endless insubstantial debates about whether or not Vince Young is good is the people who endlessly complain about those debates. I never really thought the guy was that great, for what it’s worth, but after all the bashing he’s endured from the fans I think he’s become, against all odds, severely overrated.

Just consider the situation honestly: A team invests a lot of money in an incredible, but unorthodox, physical talent, and rushes him to a starting role where he has a series of timely and clutch, but not necessarily great, performances. The next season he greatly improves his completion percentage, despite poor receivers, which intuitively, is a lot less variable than TD:INT, and less attributable to luck. Still, he has a bad season because he turns the ball over too much. His touchdowns are also down, but that’s somewhat understandable considering: A. He’s got nagging leg injuries which take a whole dimension out of his game, and B. He has crappy end-zone targets. The next season, he’s hurt and benched when Collins’ plays well.

I honestly thing he hasn’t gotten a fair chance. He’s probably a bust: I’m not a huge apologist here, I know his footwork and ability to read a defense have been severely lacking the past. Still, those skills can be taught, speed and running instincts often can not. Let’s just root for the guy to succeed, and all shut up about whether he’s good or not, because I’ve seen really poor cases argued on BOTH sides. I don’t want this post to reignite the debate (it will anyway), because we’ve all heard it all. I just hope this fanpost is unintentionally ironic come Monday.

But I don’t think T-Rac meant it as a VY bash. It was more of a bash to one side of those “poor cases argued” as you stated.

I think all Titans fans will irony of this post in stride if Vince can pull it out and get the “W” on Sunday. As for the VY fans out there, every Titan fan who may not share your enthusiasm for Vince will gladly take a big day from VY and a revenge win against the Jags.

…laugh this morning. This was pretty funny. Just being a Titans fan, of course I hope we’re able to win Sunday. But, VY has some fortune on his side it seems by the team gradually getting healthy as he takes over … with some of our starts back in the secondary, so maybe that’ll keep us from being lit up. I’m sure most of us know if we get a win sunday, what all the VY fanatics will be saying. The question will be, did VY actually win the game, or did the rest of the team finally step up.

VY will probably prove to be a bust, but he gets another shot at it with a team that is on the mend. T Rac – very funny, funny, laugh out loud post. Thanks

ok t-rac was your post a sarcastic post to african american texas titan fans ? i fit the bil of texas titan fan and longhorn fan.. i was a oiler fan but dam i hate that titans moved and changed thier name from the houston oilers.. we lost the team and im dealing wit it.. im a true titan fan.. but i dont think im a bigger titan fan than alot of the fans from state of tennesse hell no … thats thier team now !! im a fan.. my brother, cousin and I are titan fans here in the austin area.. my cuz has flown out there a few years ago for the titan/giants game .(when VY and pacman came back from 21pts in the 4thqrt) and my brother is flying out there next week… teh 3 of us always watch games and look into the stands and tell each other damm look at those emptry seats fuck if we lived thier we’d be there.. i guess what im trying to say is to all you tennesse natives dont think all people from texas are on the VY bandwagon and think we are any better than YALL…. if u cheer for the titans im down with you .. i got the sword tatted on my forearm to show all theses stupid cowboy and texans fans that im not a titan fan cause of VY i was born a oiler..NOW TITAN FAN !!!!!!!!!
