Question?
Has JD Booty ever taken meaningful snaps in NFL? I can’t remember him ever starting or getting in reg. season game. Just curious

Mike Florio's theory as to why
The Titans have signed John David Booty so he can go on Conference Call and tell Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy up in Green Bay what the Vikings do in practice.
No joke. I’m not kidding. That’s his theory.

What does that have to do with the Titans?

He's saying it's because of connections to Green Bay by Mike Reinfeldt
It’s ridiculous as usual.

Well
I get all that, but that is still the dumbest suggestion I have heard.

He may have something...
It’s really only 10% less believable than the idea that Booty can play QB in the NFL.
This USC crap is getting on my nerves.

I've heard dumber.
But this pretty high up there on the dumb list.

They usually start with "hey guys, watch this!"
but there was this one time in high school chemistry class that someone suggested mixing hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide of equal molarities, and then drinking the results.
HCl and NaOH will mix to form table salt and water, but still, not particularly healthy to do at home, if done before the reaction has finished…

Nah Hartley...
…the dumbest usually starts with… “hey somebody, hold my beer!” lol

that's always the theory
when new qbs get signed to practice squads. they always try to say it’s for competative reasons like we brought in a spy. i always think they are just ridiculous.

Personally, I am glad they decided to put a QB on the practice squad.
Not that it makes a big difference for this season.
It wasn’t very long ago that the Vikes were very high on this guy’s potential…

yeah, but the Vikes were also high on Tarvaris Jackson’s potential at one point.

Personally, I think the NFL should require its teams to have 3 QBs available…
… if not on game-day, at least have 1 on the practice squad, just in case.
It only makes sense to have a 3rd QB around in case of injury. That way, the team isn’t starting some free agent off the street who doesn’t know the playbook. If Collins or VY gets hurt, they can elevate Booty onto the roster and he will have some knowledge of the Titans playbook. Of course, that knowledge increases over the course of time. It’s a smart move, even though they probably could get Ramsey back, if needed since I do not believe he is on another NFL roster currently…
