Tennessee Titans Red Zone Report
This post is sponsored by Comcast and their NFL Red Zone channel, a new NFL Network channel. Want to see every touchdown from every NFL game as it happens as well as live look-ins to all of Sunday's games in key situations? Then you need Comcast's NFL RedZone.
The Titans offense is 8-11 (73%) with 6 touchdowns and 2 field goals.
The Titans have been in the red zone a grand total of 1 time in the past 2 games. This week's visit to the redzone resulted in that beautifully crafted reverse to Nate Washington for -22 yards.
The Titans defense has allowed the opposing team to go 23-26 (88%) in the redzone with 14 touchdowns and 9 field goals.
The Titans red zone defense actually got better in that 59-0 beatdown. Of course a lot of the TDs came from well outside the red zone. 88% is a solid number.

Honestly, though
if we have a stat that improves in a 59-0 loss, I have to wonder about the value of the stat. E.G., did we hold their third string out of the end zone a couple of times in the fourth quarter when nothing mattered and no one cared? (I don’t know because I lost my TV coverage in the third quarter.)

Actually the first hold
was the first Pats drive. The second one came late in the game when they went for it instead of kicking the field goal because it was 59-0.

Just another reason for VY
VY can convert 3rd downs by running.
Collins depends entirely on everyone else making plays.

Collins doesn't run?
I always thought Vince was the pocket passer and Kerry was the runner? Hmm….

PUT KERRY IN THE WILDCAT
Yeah, except we’ll call it the “Tame Dog” and that way no one will expect it. Just line up KC, VY, CJ, LW, TT, FR, B7, and JJ in the pistol grip tame dog wildcat and then nobody will know what to do.
Yeah, Super Bowl here we come! Why didn’t anybody think of this before?

oh kerry can run....
for his life and negative yards. thats why hes so accustomed to throwing the ball out of bounds.

its just disappointing.....
how theres no reaction by KC, just walk back to the sideline after a big f**k up, its becoming the norm for him. i can bet he’s thinking on the walk back to the sideline….“ehh its ok, my contract says ill be the starter no matter what.” everybody wants to talk about the money vy’s owed, how about the money we wasted on KC?
