Which rookie QB should the Titans pick next April?

Assuming Tennessee takes a QB with their 1st round pick...

Star-divide

... which QB do you think they should choose and why?

There are up to 5 really good choices (and 2 "maybes") at QB but most of the so-called "draft experts" are claiming the top 2 QBs that look to be coming out are Jake Locker of Washington & Jimmy Clausen of Notre Dame. Most Juniors QBs ranked highly are assumed to be entering the next draft. The most talented players that are eligible should be all coming out after this season due to the uncapped year in 2010 in the NFL & the potential of having a rookie salary cap put in after 2010.

Sam Bradford of Oklahoma was considered up there at #1 or #2 by many. But that shoulder injury he has needs surgery to get fixed. He has injured that same shoulder twice this season and he may end up dropping out of the first 10 picks of the 1st round due to injury concerns.

Colt McCoy of Texas & Tony Pike of Cincy both are considered by most to be in the Top 5  ranked QBs with Tim Tebow of Florida & Jevan Snead of Ole Miss seemingly on the outside looking in.

Most of the "experts" I have read or heard talk feel it will be either Locker or Clausen for Tennessee if they have their choice of any QB available.  Which QB would you select for the Titans next April if you were making the pick?

Typo.

My bad. I’ll fix it if I can. Thanks for the heads up…

I want Bradford if he comes out this year

regardless of the shoulder injury. He’s the only one that I think has everything we need now; great accuracy, the ability to throw the deep ball, awareness in the pocket, and the smarts to pick up our offense fast.

I also think McCoy and Clausen would be good in our system, but Jake Locker reminds me a little too much of VY, he’s got the raw athletic talent but he hasn’t developed as a passer yet.

I really hope that somehow we can get the Vince Young from 2006 back but I’m not getting my hopes up on that one.

damn we suck this year

Ryan Mallet

Arkansas, in the second round after trading our first for a later first, and a second.

I hear his stock is rising…

…and he might be a late 1st rounder.

Why not just get Guido Merkins?

At least old Guido got to play in the NFL once…

Colt McCoy

But Keep VY on the Roster! Either use two QB offense or Start VY until McCoy is ready! Cut KC

Clausen I feel will be the best QB to come out of this draft class. I wish the Titans would take him or Pike not Bradford or McCoy. I think that the Titans won’t take a QB in the first upcoming draft anyway unless we get a new coach that wants to get “his guy” in there

clausen is gonna be a bust of epic proportions

Locker has the tools but I need to see more consistency. I still think Bradford is the best QB in the draft. but do we really have to draft a QB? I know its not sexy but I would be perfectly fine with drafting Gerald McCoy or Ndamukong Suh to help rebuild the D. either one fills the massive hole Fat Albert left and maybe we get be to being able to put some pressure on the QB.

I'M DISRESPECTFUL TO DIRT!! CAN YOU SEE THAT I AM SERIOUS?
GET OUT OF MY WAY, ALL OF YOU. THIS IS NO PLACE FOR LOAFERS. JOIN ME OR DIE. CAN YOU DO ANY LESS?

The team needs a great QB…

I’m tired of the Titans having average QBs. I want the QB this team has to be talked about as being one of the NFL’s best someday. We need a QB on the team who is capable of putting the offense of his shoulders and passing the ball effectively and for a lot of yards during those times when the running game stalls or when the team gets behind.

A top QB would also make it easier for the team to run the ball, since the opponents would no longer be able to load the box with 7 or 8 guys all the time…

The way you are tired of mediocre QBs

Is exactly how I feel about our MLBs.

I like starting polls but…

… it seems I can’t include more than 3 polls options for some reason.

When I try to, the “save poll” icon disappears off the bottom of the poll box and I am unable to save the poll. Without saving it, I can’t get the poll to be included in the thread.

Strange… never had this sort of trouble posting polls in the other forums I am on…
