Tennessee Titans sign Roderick Hood to help CB depth, cut WR Dominique Edison
The Titans signed six-year veteran Rod Hood this afternoon. He has played for the Arizona Cardinals the past two seasons after four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He has 11 career interceptions including 5 in the 2007 season. Both cornerbacks Nick Harper and Vincent Fuller are out with broken arms, and CB Cortland Finnegan is still not practicing with a hamstring injury. Hood is expected to practice this afternoon.
UPDATE: Dominique Edison is out due to this signing.

They might IR Harper instead of cutting.
This is a wild-a**ed guess.

i would have loved to see this maybe around training camp
Once upon a time you dressed so fine
You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?
People'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall"
You thought they were all kiddin' you.

Dude, I'm all for the signing
But Edison looked real good in preseason…That’s disapointing

I don't understand?
Hawkins – shitty
Edison – good
So, let’s cut the receiver with the most upside and keep the receiver who can’t even run routes correctly.
George is getting angry!

too little to late, I was yelling that we should of signed
Rod Hood at the begging of preseason, and wtf why would we cut edison, let Lavelle go, or cut kearse over him, bonehead moves by a bonehead coaching staff, its almost hysterical whats going thats how bad its getting. What next lets sign Patrick Ramsey back and put him in as a starter and see if he will be our QB of the future.

So let me get this straight
We are leaning towards rebuilding so we sit Kearse but still start Collins? Now we are gonna cut players we draft that showed a lil somthing in preseason for CBs that have been cut by one team after another… WTF is goin on around here?

Confused!
Everybody’s confused on this one. Cut Edison and keep Hawkins and Kearse? It’s evident Kearse is not playing with a full motor and Hawkins, though I like him, has shown us anything. At least ‘Nique showed some playmaking potential in the preseason. Cut Kim Kardashian and let Nickey play back up safety to both Chris and Griff. Hell he’s making free money anyway. The Titans are really making some boneheaded decisons here. Bud Adams you must intervene on this constant stupidity.

Apparently Rod Hood returned kicks
Granted, it was at the beginning of his career in Philly, but his stats were comparable to Mark Jones from last year.
Maybe he adds a bit of depth in the special teams as well? As long as he doesn’t break his arm in half.

I hope they bring back Edison.
At least sign him to the practice squad…
I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and other all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...

Does Hawkins do the team laundry?
Otherwise what the H E double hockey sticks? Hawkins hasn’t shown jack in 2 seasons. Edison looked like a future starter in the preseason. Kearse isn’t around after this season, Neither is Harper or are we saving those guys for our playoff run once the season starts.

Devastated...
Im devastated due to this… I went to High School with Edison, we were hoping he would make the starting roster. I think he is too good of a player to stay on a practice squad…. maybe someone will pick him up..
