What is the move you would make in the 2010 draft and free agency
Ok going to make this one short and sweet. I don't know what the Titans record will be in the end of this season but perhaps it is never to early to start looking ahead to next season. Whit that said here's the question I would like everybody to answer. If you were the one in charge what are the two positions you most want to address on the Titans 53 man roster? You can fill one in the draft and one in free agency. What are those two positions and who would you like the Titans to take to fill those positions? Take into account the Titans look to be headed towards a sure fire top 10 pick in the draft and may have some money to play with since there are a lot of free agents on the roster. NOW make your picks. Two positions, any two positions, one from the draft and one from free agency.......GO!!!!!!!!!

2 choices...
What we do in the draft and in free agency is going to depend a lot on how VY does down the stretch…assuming he does get put into the starter role (and at this point why not?). If VY shows us the talent he showed early on in his career, then we will keep him as our starter for the next years to come. If he plays atrocious, like we have seen at times, we my be letting him go and picking up a QB such as Bradford, Clausen, or maybe Crompton with a top 10 pick in 2010 Draft. If VY stays, we need help on defense and can pick up a big playmaker at the DE or secondary position in the draft or free agency.
Pretty good QB read
Here. I am officially on the Jimmy Clausen bandwagon.

Here in Chicago......
Notre Dame is the “local” team.
There is a tendency to overhype ND players, and the weekly national exposure from NBC adds to the repeated overrating of Notre Dame products. I have an innate bias against Notre Dame that I often have to overcome because of years of ridiculous favoritism in the polls, and the current “Notre Dame Affirmative Action” clause in the BCS Bowl system. That’s a product of growing up in Chicago during an era where nobody could name the mascot of any college team except Notre Dame. I started to loathe ND, and have only recently begun to admire their tradition.
All this being said, I have seen Clausen play so VERY many times now, and he is the real deal. He has a good, accurate arm, makes good decisions, and can pull-out close games at the end. He is quite a classy kid, to boot. Also, he has the benefit of learning under a coach who has seen and quasi-implmented an NFL-type offense. This kid has a GREAT future ahead of him in the NFL.
To sum-up: He is going to be a VERY good NFL QB. I truly think he’d be an excellent pick for the Titans.
However, I STILL think that Fisher drafts a DL, not a QB. Otherwise, we’re asking him to wait until the Third Round to draft a DL — which is like asking Peyton Manning never to pass the ball for three games. I just can’t see it happening. Fisher would be fine going with Collins for 16 games next year, whereas I do not think he would tolerate another year of this kind of DL performance.

I agree
and if not Clausen for some reason, then Dan LeFevour out of Central Michigan University.

I'm not a Tennessee fan, but my family is.
As such, I have developed an aversion to all things named “Clausen.”
I am in that same boat
but willing to overlook it if this kid can help us.

No, no, no, no
Why won’t UT fans admit that Casey Clausen was a solid QB? i know rick sucked, but casey was way better than Ainge. Maybe not stat wise, but he played well when it mattered, and well, Ainge didn’t (see 2007 SEC championship).
Casey was cool under pressure and had to live with that idiot Randy Sanders as OC.

I definitly think DT or QB depending on Young
I would love to draft Ndamukong Suh or Terrence Cody. Both have traits that remind me of Fat Albert with Suh being able to push lineman backwards leading his team with 74 tackles last season and Cody weighing in at over 360 calling for double/triple teams by o-lineman.
I haven’t followed the QBs a lot other then the big names like Bradford, McCoy, Tebow, Snead and Clausen. I know for sure we want nothing to do with Tebow…I don’t hear great things about McCoy in regards to being a great NFL QB and Snead just had a horrible game. Bradford has been out with his shoulder injury which I don’t know how serious that it is going futher but I’m sure we will see soon enough.
Taylor Mays > Eric Berry
I vote Suh also
I dont see the front office going after a youg QB all though this would be the year to do so. But Suh would be great. Any DT that has his name comming up in Heisman Ballots gets my vote!!
Also with all the rumors floating around about Quinn what does everyone have to say about him. In all honesty I could see the Titans going after someone like him or Jason Campbell before starting all over with a new QB. It may not be what we want to see, but I just cant see them going after a young QB this year. If they do maybe someone like Lefevour from Central Michigan in the 3rd. rd. I guess to put it into words I have a feeling that the staff beleives the window is still open for this team. If we get a couple of new peices on the Defensive side of the ball and special teams, a game managing QB or one stated above then we can make another playoff push. However if we grab another 1st. rd. QB than we have to admit that we are rebulding, as not all of them are going to be Sanchez, Flaco, and Ryan.
I honestly think that the absolute best case QB scenario...
…..under Jeff Fisher (providing Young does not wear a Titans’ uniform next year) is that they bring-in Chad Pennington. This would be the best possible option I could see Jeff Fisher finding acceptable, based on who is likely available and what Jeff Fisher is likely looking for in a QB.
The most likely scenario, however, is the return of Kerry Collins as the starting QB in 2010, with an offseason dedicated entirely to defensive upgrades. Depending on whether or not Vince Young gets in and how he performs, there’s a chance he’ll be the QB for the forseeable future. That’s yet to be determined.
I am trying to prepare myself for the fact that Jeff Fisher will probably do everything in his power to have Kerry Collins under center next year. Perhaps Young will perform well down the stretch and make that a near impossibility to justify.

jimmy clausen
it’s time for the titans to have a classic drop-back passer who is actually good at it. if we pick as high as I suspect we will clausen is a no-brainer to me. yes there are going to be a lot of QBs in the draft this year, but id venture to say he is the only one of the top tier in a pure, pro-style offense, which is what the titans need if they are going to flat refuse to go with anything remotely new-age on offense.

QB and DE
julius peppers was franchise taged so if he was available grab him and draft for a good franchise qb
If the Titans are in the position to do so, they need to draft a new QB.
Also, if they are not going to resign certain players who are in the final year of their contracts, they should consider trading them for draft picks. The next draft is supposed to be loaded. If this season is indeed “lost” then why keep players until the end of the season who may leave Tennessee for another team and wind up with just some compensatory picks? If the Titans can get a 1st or 2nd round (or multiple lower round picks) for any of the guys Tennessee won’t be resigning anyways, why not trade them after the Pats game and get as much as possible in return for them? Restock and then reload. Shake up the squad. Heck, they have to do something to “fix” this team. A new QB, a replacement for Harper, and better depth at DB would be nice, just for openers…
I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and other all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...
I see what you are saying but
I have a feeling that there will be quite a bit of turnover on this roster at the end of the year. If that is the case there is no way we can let that many guys go now for future compensation, hell with all of the injuries that we have we are hurting on depth. If we were to get rid of all the guys we plan on letting walk now than we would be playing Iron man ball. Also the sad but true case is that there is not many people on our team that would net us a 1st or 2nd round pick in return. The ones that will I am sure we will be keeping.
