Will it end here?
Hello everyone,
I have been following all the news and stats here at MCM since pre season. So I finally decided to jump in.
First off let me say that I am a Titans fan and have been ever since they arrived. This has been an amazing season. I have been reading and listening to quite a few folks who have our beloved team going home after this game. Frankly I am tired of hearing about how awesome the Ravens are. It also appears that our fate is being compared to the "Titanic."
So can some of you shed some light on the subject as to why and how this can be our "moment of destiny?" which apparently our former Titans are now saying in the locker room over in Baltimore about their post season.
PS
Man I really enjoy the mornng links. AWESOME! Thanks.

Definitely glad to have you on board.
I think that it is just a product of the Ravens being the “latest thing.”
It was the Colts last week…and now it’s Baltimore. That is not to say this is not a good team that the Titans are facing, but we can only hope that Mason keeps running that piehole and believes all the hype.
Stompin' your Terrible Towel and still hatin' Music City Miracles!
i remember when the jets were the latest thing
that didn’t turn out so well.
Remember the "All New Jersey Super Bowl."
That was rad.

People have forgotten how good we are.
Since the Steelers game in which we dominated, we have played in a meaningless game in which we got shutout, and we have had a bye. The Steelers, the other AFC team who had a bye last week, played very well in Week 17, and that game was also in the news with Big Ben’s injury.

one more thing
I appreciate you guys taking the time to reply. I like the fact that our team is choosing to stay a bit more on the quiet side and less bravado which seems to be the air coming out of Baltimore, IMHO.
I really enjoyed how Wycheck put it,
“They are two teams that take the same approach to football the way it’s supposed to be played – a smash you in the mouth mentality with guys that give you a little stare to let you know what just happened to you. When those two worlds collide, there’s kind of a healthy animosity on both sides. You want to be that victorious guy standing on the top of the hill”
I hope we are the ones who will be on the top of that hill…….
its simply because the Titans have been out of the media for so long…not good for product recognition..teams might give up the bye to stay on ESPN and sell more shirts.
we needed rich eisen making fun of Milly Vanilly some more.
raven! Our favorite Baltimore antagonizer! Where have you been man?
Stompin' your Terrible Towel and still hatin' Music City Miracles!
Gramsey you old dog..i think we smoothed things over since the last time..i hope. anyway, i have learned a lot about these blogs since then grasshopper. not much of an antagonizer anymore. i’m trying to get adam shefter’s job so i’m trying to be real. rexx has been an example of professionalism and i have seen the blog light. hallaluya brother. ravens 27 titans 13 ; ) with Lorenzo Neil getting a 98 yard run/high stepping the last 15 for Suga’ in the Espn studio.
Man, I used to think you were the biggest ass out there
But after dealing with delusional Colt fans all season and these dumb-as-a-rock Steeler fans lately (You know what that is like), you were just a pussycat man!
Now, that doesn’t mean I hate the Ravens any less!

Funny
Titans – “Titanic.”
Call me slow, but I just got it.

between the lines
there is always a psychological aspect that is involved in every game and it’s amazing the impact that it can have because of what it does on an subconscious level. All the references to a Titanic season, a titanic coach, and a well executed diversion with the whole McNair situation. Coach Billick was really good at it when he was coaching. He always had some between the lines comments during press conferences. He was engaging in the intangible part of the game which is to destabilize your opponent before the battle. This game will come down to who wants it more and who will play smart. I truly hope that we will all be celebrating a tremendous victory tomorrow but as raven said this is WAY too close to call this one. Although it is clear that since the report today about losing our pro bowl center most have jumped ship and now heavily favor the vultures ..oh..I mean the ravens. We’ll see.
