ok, let me just say....
Larry Fitzgerald is amazing. Wow! One home team winning down….I’d be happy to see that all the way to the Super Bowl!

What's up

for the first couple of series
I thought that Peyton and Co. looked a little out of sync because of the crowd noise. Then he goes 6/6 for 81 yards. Guess he figured it out.

I think that the MVP for the first half was the punter
pinning the Colts twice and giving their offense a short field.

That was crazy. Caught em sleeping.

illegal formation...
I’m pretty sure it was an illegal formation on that play. If two guys are out wide on the same side….doesn’t one of them have to be at the line of scrimmage? There were two off the line on one side, and another wr of the line on the other side. I could be wrong. Anyway, Manning is too stinkin’ smart!

hind sight....
downing the ball on first down helped the colts twofold. One, it left time on the clock, and secondly….they wasted a down. Would of loved to of seen third and one from the six yard line.

Is this going to be Deja Vu from earlier in the season?
by ArmyTitansFan on Jan 3, 2009 10:12 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
that would be nice....
you know, if we play the Chargers, they may beat us….but at least it wouldn’t be the Colts. I mean that with all due respect to Manning and Dungy.

I think we match up better against the Chargers
If not only because they’re not a divisional opponent.
I don’t think there’s anything worse than playing a good divisional opponent in the playoffs.
Plus I think the guys would be up for some revenge against the Chargers.

i know its easy to say now...
but all the hype about that 9-0 run. they were an 8-8 team this year maybe 9-7 with one hell of a qb. proof that 1 man cant carry them forever.

So the question now is can Miami beat Baltimore so we can pay San Diego back?

i knew the ldt injury would be huge for the chargers
in a good way that is.
i’m happy the colts lost, but i’m sad that philip rivers is happy.

not to worry...
the chargers are here for the sole purpose of knocking out the colts. they wont beat us.

CANT WAIT
TO MAKE SPROLES OUR NEW 15 YARD LINE!!!!!!!!!!!
go to sleep baltimore and I PROMISE this is ours!!!!!!
by kazukirecords on Jan 3, 2009 10:40 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
reasons
1) Our special teams is NUMBER 1 in the NFL – we don’t let little men run through us . . . ask Kramer and Grif – 2) NO LT???? lolololololololololol . . . I hope we leave Rivers of blood running through it AND a piece of Sproles on the 15. . . that’s what will happen – - – - – - – — – - NOW GO PENNINGTON!!!!!!! Regardless, knowing the Colts are out helps quite a bit – that was our toughest game (minus the ravens)
I’m just optimistic
lol
go titans

playing saturday will help us. If it is SD, they are banged up. If it is BAL, it will be on a short week.

titans stock on the rise, colts on the decline...
that goes for next year. they will not be a problem next season. texans finish ahead of them i believe.
by stetix01 on Jan 3, 2009 10:47 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
gotta point out
that Pittsburgh probably benefits the most from this…now they will face the fins or the chargers, both very winnable games for them
by jeanl0uis on Jan 3, 2009 10:48 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
obviously i'd rather play the chargers than the ravens
but sproles is scary. after seeing how leon washington tore us up, i’m hoping that fischwartz has figured out a way to slow down small, quick backs.
by rolypoly32 on Jan 3, 2009 10:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
good point
BUT! Washington is more of a Jones-Drew back, Sproles is a one – hit wonder
by kazukirecords on Jan 3, 2009 10:56 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
the back that scares me is that horse jacobs
but that would be a good problem to have eh?
by stetix01 on Jan 3, 2009 10:59 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
hell yeah
i’d love to have to worry about playing the giants for a couple weeks.

ravens/chargers
ravens- rookie qb but great d
chargers-clicking right now but still were mediocre all year.
so who are we rooting for tommorow dolphins or ravens?
by nytitan on Jan 3, 2009 11:46 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I still say
we want to play the chargers,
but once we get Big Al and KVB we should be able to get it done against either team

What an awesome game!
I haven’t enjoyed a Chargers game that much since Dan Fouts and Kellen Winslow Sr. retired. Wow!
I cannot wait for next week!

I posted this during the game, does anyone know?

A reasonable question.
They brought another issue up during the game as well: if the Offense substitutes, then it has to allow the Defense to substitute as well. Did that happen?
Regardless, I think that CB (Cromartie?) needs to pay a bit more attention to the WR and a bit less attention to his buddies on the sideline. No matter what, it was a heads up play by Manning and Company, and one that any Defense should be prepared for when playing them.

The only stipulations on the offensive formation is that
There are at least 7 men on the line of scrimmage at the snap, 5 of which have to be numbered 50-79. I don’t remember seeing the two receivers off of the line (I was drinking) but if there was still seven on the line, it would be OK. The other stipulations are that if a player is not the end man on the line on his side (if he is “covered up”) he is not an eligible receiver. So if there is a tight end lined up on the line, and the flanker on his side is also on the line, the tight end is ineligible.
So, you can have as many receivers off of the line as you want flanked out wide, as long as there are 7 other players on the line of scrimmage.
Clear as mud, right?

… nothing like the colts getting kicked out of the playoffs to start your day. :-)

i was really surprised by how poorly the colts played
bottom line, they were damn lucky that there was even an overtime to begin with. the chargers handed the colts 7 of their 17 points on a platter when they fell asleep on that td to wayne and refused to take another 10-14 points with two killer red zone turnovers. the chargers did everything in their power at times to lose that game and indy repeatedly refused to take it. fun stuff. can’t wait to see how that big dumb ass over there at stampede blue polishes this playoff turd. he should have a lot of practice at this point, so i’m expecting a pretty thoroughly polished, even shiny turd once he’s done with it.
