OK, I exaggerate--after all the Titans have the best offensive line in the NFL--I just wanted to get your attention. That said, everyone who reads this subject line knows exactly who I'm talking about.
The reason the Titans' offense improved this year is not because of 'Dinger and it certainly isn't because of Collins. The reason why the offense took a leap forward this year is because the Titans drafted the equivalent of first-ballot-Hall-of-Famer Tony Dorsett in his prime (for those of you too young to remember TD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_9mr8Ib6wc).
If CJ didn't get hurt in the 2nd quarter, the Titans would have rolled in this one, but once he left the game, the offense folded. 3 points!? I can hear the apologists already: "but the Baltimore defense is really good!" The Baltimore defense was really good. The defense the Titans faced on Saturday was tired, beat up, and missing one of its best players (Suggs). Collins simply didn't have the weapons or the ability to put put points on the board against a battered defense after CJ left the game.
