I think we dominate even more
Especially if CJ comes back to the game.
The longer this game goes on the more it’s going to matter that we are rested.
It's amazing
his spines not cracked the way the ravens were bending him backwards on that play. That really should have been called on the ravens.
I think running plays at this point
Are just throw-aways to keep them honest no matter who is running it. If we win this, it’s going to have to be KC
kerry will have to do it
like he did last time. I’ve been wanting to see more of Ganther all year long, but I not in this situation.
Ball was shifting around the whole time
I think they called it right. Good defensive series regardless.
game
you can tell so many straight weeks of play is hurting their conditioning….look winded…missing tackles…getting injured…
and for us…you can tell not playing last week cost us being mentally sharp….stupid mistakes
lendale will give us good pass blocking
but he can’t run on these guys…
we need cj
I don't think Scaife had that controlled
Visit FanIQ.com for sports news, bloggings, polls, and more!
not having cj shuts down our running game
not good…..
damn that
defer is killing us
if we had wind for 2nd and 3rd quarter we would’ve got at least 6 points
Before CJ went down
It was looking like points for us would not be as scarce as we’d thought ahead of the game, but now I’m thinking 3 points is huge.
Wide left

this isn't shaping up good....
playing good….
penalties and turnovers killing drives…..
missed fg…
best offensive player gets hurt…..
excitement is not nervousness
i dont think that was the crowd
think they were just disorganized…happens a lot after a deep ball, receiver takes too long to get back to the huddle
that is horrible news
Hard for the Titans to make it to the big dance without they guy that powered there O the whole season.
without CJ we have no offence
white = slow fatass
WR = can’t get open
QB = when WR gets open can’t throw
when QB throws good WR can’t catch
and that’s about it
don't get nervous yet...
our defense is still playing excellent

some optimism guys
this team has been strong and resilient all year…we’ll bounce back from this funk
someone we haven't heard a lot from will step up
its happened all year.
could be bulluck for an int or chris carr return for td

we need points
cmon O!!!!!!
hit Brandon Jones on a crossing route
our offense freaking sucks right now
need a special teams or defense TD
they are going to get a FG here
that’s my prediction
Can we put Vince in without stirring a controversy?
Just for a play here every few downs. Something needs to spark this offense and now both of our biggest playmakers are on the bench…
I'm afraid whichever team
wins this game, they are going to be so beaten up, they’re not going anywhere after that.
doesn't matter
this is the ravens, if he hadn’t caught it it would’ve been pass interference on courtland.

You just want to find an excuse to come after me
I’ve done nothing
Visit FanIQ.com for sports news, bloggings, polls, and more!
why would you post that other than to tick people off?
i seriously refrained from saying anything all game last week. show the same respect that you were shown when things aren’t going well.
How am I disrespecting?
It’s not like I’m over here going “OMG Titans suck! LOL”
I haven’t done anything to dis-respect you guys. I haven’t taken shots at the Titans. I make one small joke and you go ballistic.
He DID stomp on a guys head, so he has earned the nickname btw.

he pooped his pants as a baby as well, why don't you bring that up
again….this isn’t the time. i’m not coming after you and i apologize if you think i am. you have to know where we are coming from.
Fair enough
I’ll make sure I don’t call Haynesworth that the next time I post a comment regarding him.
Considering the arguments between this site and Stampede Blue, I’ve been incredibly mild in comparison to what you’re used to from Colts fans. I’m just a guy wanting to watch good football. So far, this game has been fun to watch.

agreed
honestly, i thought your comments were the most reasonable last weekend of all the colts fans.
if we manage a stand here
and limit them to 3, it’s still within reasonable reach. But without CJ right now it’s hard to imagine them bouncing back from a ravens td here. could happen, but will be hard.
We've got to see Ganther here
I’m not comfortable with using him but what other choice do we have, LenDale isn’t getting it done against this D
Baltimore has it's first lead of the game
C’mon Titans O, gotta come up with something. Put it on KC’s shoulders. Short-medium range stuff is still there.
We need to win this game! I hate pitsburg and you are the only team that can stop them
The best defense is a good offense!
carr
has good returns….but not td breaking returns
Not sure what Collins saw there

we just waste a down with those bombs...
if its not open we should be using our check downs or Scaife

This isn’t helping. Neither is the whiskey I’m resorting to drinking, either.
Boy, it sure looked like Flacco stepped out of the endzone

DVR Replay, you can't tell
The step that looked like it might’ve been was blocked from view by a player.

Every time in the huddle this drive
KC needs to say NO TURNOVER to break it. Despite turning the ball over 3 times and losing our best offensive weapon, we still have a chance.
collins playing well
besides the pick, he’s the reason we keep getting into position… his receivers are blowing it.
Nice effort by Gage
Short though

Gotta be smart, kick the field goal

Tie it up or go for it? Offensive line is doing well, but I don’t know if I trust Lendale to do it.

Should've been Delay
Refs F’d that up
Visit FanIQ.com for sports news, bloggings, polls, and more!
12 Men on the Field you can challenge
My guess is that you’ll be able to challenge a delay next season.
i know what will happen
the game clock will expire, but they’ll give baltimore 5 more plays (that’s right a fifth down)to win the game.
Both Jevon and Albert
came back into the game from their dings. That’s good. The penalties, that’s bad.
They caught us napping on that play call
We can’t give up much more yards, or this is going to end up badly.
we need to stop them here, call the timeout and hope for the best
can’t believe its gotten to this point
Still a pretty long FG try if they get stopped
Visit FanIQ.com for sports news, bloggings, polls, and more!
Makeable FG for Stover
Visit FanIQ.com for sports news, bloggings, polls, and more!
That's enough for the 3 probably
But we’ll have some time on the clock to come back and tie again if he makes it. Bot much, though, it’ll have to be a tight drive.
Perfect kick
Visit FanIQ.com for sports news, bloggings, polls, and more!
53 seconds
We can do it. Will need a decent passing drive, which KC can do. A decent return could do it too.
We'll see how much that wind effects a long FG try
Visit FanIQ.com for sports news, bloggings, polls, and more!
The non-call on the expired clock
will be talked about a lot. Unless we come back and win this thing here. So here’s hoping it’s not talked about.
Going to the middle isn't that good of an idea

How can you even say that?
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.
-Jack Handey
That was our best shot at the super bowl for a while
Not with Kerry or VY at the helm …won’t happen, hopefully our d can stay dominant when we get our franchise qb
way too many bad omens today fellas...
and the score ends 13-10

Well sorry guys
That sucked. We so easily could have won that one. Very, very bitter.
It was a fun season, though. Even when the end bitterly. Here’s hoping the Ravens get knocked out next week, and that the Titans make some good off-season moves.
Dear god the other teams left in the AFC suck
Can the Ravens actually win another fucking super bowl
i am going to have to root for the Chargers
by ElectricScissors on Jan 10, 2009 6:44 PM CST reply actions
meh
I like Pittsburgh better than the Chargers. Ravens are definitely at the bottom of my list for preferred superbowl winner.
It was a good season guys.
We have a great team. We’ll be even better next year after a good offseason.
fumbled in the redzone twice, lost chris johnson, just missed a field goal. two lucky big pass plays for them AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
oh yeah
we had a bunch of penlties, and they missed an obvious delay of game. THEY DID NOTHING GOOODD, SOOOOO FUCKIN LUCKY
yep. you could see it coming at the end of the first half
the stars were all lining up against us

i will never believe in this team again like i did this season
too much hurt
The Official Enforcer of MCM
we beat ourselves today
Kerry may or may not be our starter next year…
Albert might go for big money somewhere else…
Scaife also…
Its gonna be one hell of an offseason

Next time
You tools come over and dog the Colts after they get knocked out, make sure your team is going to win. Enjoy the offseason.
That means YOU hal. This isn’t intended to get at other fans. Good game, sorry for your loss. Better luck next year.
How’s it feel to lose to the little brother of a Colt?
i'll be honest with you...
you guys getting knocked out was the highlight of my year…and we JUST lost! i’m still smiling…hah!

The better team lost
Titans outplayed the Ravens by a mile, stupid fumbles bite. The FAR BETTER TEAM lost this one
Joy Kat
Broke ass game
We played like crap and we beat ourselves.
That sucked bad.
very true james
they didnt beat us. we helped them out alot.

The NFL has to do something about the #1 seed
It’s just not worth it. You lose momentum and come out rusty.
i think he made the right decision...
anything can happen on any given sunday(saturday) a couple players didnt come through today and that was it.
by ElectricScissors on Jan 10, 2009 6:53 PM CST up reply actions
wouldn't have made a diff.
they coughed up the ball at the worst time and that broke our momentum. otherwise the ravens would be going home but. oh well . it’s over. moving on.
we scored a touchdown on out second possession, and could have score numerous times, plust we lost chris johnson. i don't think we were that rusty
All the penalties, the fumbles, and the sloppy play.
I don’t think we play like that if we have momentum.
Are you serious?
Kerry carved the ravens up all game and was throwing darts all over the field. It is not his fault receivers fumbled balls or dropped passes or running backs fumbling in the redzone. Any QB that throws for 281 yds against the Ravens played very well. Well see what you have to say when Vince Young is back.
nice game guys..you had our number. i hope CJ is okay. he would have been the major difference. our LBS couldn’t stop him. truly feel bad for the guy. see ya next year.
You guts had a great season
But when you have 3 turnovers and 12 penalties, you deserve to lose.

Great year..
But when you can’t convert in the play offs, and have a week bye, what does the great year matter?
Would you rather have played in Baltimore?
I don’t get the point you’re trying to make. Having the bye or homefield shouldn’t mean you win the game by showing up. What other advantage would you want? A handicapped team? Referee’s that are Titan fans?
The great year got you the advantages over other teams, the fact that you lost doesn’t make the 1 seed worthless because every team wants it. Regardless, you were favored and at home and had the better team playing a rookie QB whose team has major issues scoring touchdowns.
Thats a win on a silver platter.
not sure how i'd be feeling if we won after that performance. certainly not a superbowl looking team
by stetix01 on Jan 10, 2009 6:58 PM CST reply actions
No one was rusty.
Vandenbosch doesn’t go offsides and the ravens have 3rd and 18 and probably run a draw play instead of deep to mason for a TD. White and Crumpler kill us with fumbles, Bironas with a missed field goal, Johnson by getting hurt. Referees for not calling the delay. We beat ourselves, its simple. Too many penalties and turnovers; its just a shame cus we played well offensively against the hottest defense in the NFL. And that crumpler fumble reminds me of the one against the chargers last year where Merriman hit LenDale i think in mid air in the red zone and flipped him around. And that’s when I threw up.
Why didn't the Titans coach challenge the fact that the clock ran out before the pass?
Is this not challengeable? Surprised that announcers did not even address the issue.
if we could have challeneged, fisher would have
he knows the rules better than anyone
The Official Enforcer of MCM
Allright guys
I have to go to work in a few hours. Need to relax and take my mind off this before I punch a coworker.
Go Titans ’09
Why didn't the Titans coach challenge when the clock ran out prior to the pass play?
if not challengeable, the announcers should have explained.
It was a great run
I’m proud of what the Titans accomplished this year. It is obvious CJ is the MVP of the Titans. Too bad Mason was playing for the other side. McCairens worth was finally discovered. The one interception didn’t hurt us as much as the fumbles did. Damn.
I also have to give props to the Ravens. They played hard and left it all on the field. But the Raven trolls should also recognize they paid a price. I didn’t think history would repeat itself.
Tough luck guys, see you next season at Qwest.
Is it me, or did Flacco step out of the end zone?
PLAYOFFS?!
Great Job TITANS!
Darn so close. CJ was having a good game until they tried to break him in half. Keep ur head up & live another day
i said all season....
that we have to stop jumping offsides. It cost us so much in this game. Two huge plays. 3rd and 18, jump offsides they throw deep instead of probably playing it safe. Then Kearse jumping offsides on that final drive. You can’t give up 5 yards in that situation.
The refs missed a call, but so what? We can’t have a bad snap on 4th down inside the 35, a int in side the 35, a fumble by white inside the 35, a missed fg attempt from inside the 35, and a crumpler fumble inside the 35.
This game/situation/season is so similar to 2000. I’m heartbroken, crushed. It will be 52 weeks until we have a chance to be in this position again.
most games
I end up watching we have a lot of holds by the offensive line, now titans have had one of the best lines since they were moved to tennessee but holds are a problem
It was a Winning Season for the Titans...
I’m still proud of how far they’ve come…I hope next year they will build on the progress they have made…
See you all next season.
Peace.

right on the money except...
thats not what anyone is going to remember about this game.
by stetix01 on Jan 10, 2009 7:25 PM CST up reply actions
what can you do?
when the offense has so many errors, how can a simple play clock call change the game?
don't get me wrong....
that play DID NOT COME CLOSE TO COSTING US THE GAME, I just thought the 1.35 seconds part was interesting.
hey gang, can i get an amen for our o-line?
these guys were lights out today!
by stetix01 on Jan 10, 2009 7:20 PM CST reply actions
yeah, and if i screwed up big twice like that, i wouldn't be on the top of my game, now would i?
if that was the top of his game, thats unfortunate for him, because mental mistakes like that are killer
The Official Enforcer of MCM
Then again...
He’s not exactly a pro, and didn’t make mistakes that mattered in the long run (maybe the 4th down early snap, yeah, that was bad) or really close calls for points. (algaes fumble).
Hey
We know how it feels to flush a great season.
Get those boys some stick-um. And heal up that tailback for next year; what a beast.

A great football game for true fans, marred only by the Titans’ drops, really. Very physical, hard fought — all the cliches. It reminded me a lot of the first half of the Pats/Panthers SB: just a slugfest where the offenses were stymied by great defensive play.

And the rams failed this year.
Atleast we weren’t like a lot of the NFC teams such as 0-16, and 2-14 haha.
Ravens dirty team/refs sux
Why there wasn’t a flag when they tried to break CJ in half. We got penalized and they got away with their cheap shots. Unbelievable, they deliberately tried to injure CJ.
i dont want to say they cost us the game
but that did suck. if they are really serious about protecting players when they are the most vulnerable that was an abomination. forget the game, they could have hurt him for life.
