I think we dominate even more

Especially if CJ comes back to the game.

The longer this game goes on the more it’s going to matter that we are rested.

Good

Strange… usually he breaks other people’s ankles.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:06 PM CST up reply actions

It's amazing

his spines not cracked the way the ravens were bending him backwards on that play. That really should have been called on the ravens.

by numbertenox on Jan 10, 2009 5:07 PM CST up reply actions

I think running plays at this point

Are just throw-aways to keep them honest no matter who is running it. If we win this, it’s going to have to be KC

pissing the game away

so many damn mistakes

kerry will have to do it

like he did last time. I’ve been wanting to see more of Ganther all year long, but I not in this situation.

by numbertenox on Jan 10, 2009 5:14 PM CST up reply actions

I'm outta here

Y’all “enjoy” the game. =/

by Rustmeister on Jan 10, 2009 5:15 PM CST reply actions

Well

The incomplete will do, but that looked like a fumble to me.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:18 PM CST reply actions

Ball was shifting around the whole time

I think they called it right. Good defensive series regardless.

by numbertenox on Jan 10, 2009 5:19 PM CST reply actions

game

you can tell so many straight weeks of play is hurting their conditioning….look winded…missing tackles…getting injured…

and for us…you can tell not playing last week cost us being mentally sharp….stupid mistakes

by zackmann on Jan 10, 2009 5:21 PM CST reply actions

yea lendale

slightly making up for the fumble….we need him to step up

by jeanl0uis on Jan 10, 2009 5:22 PM CST reply actions

Man

Lendale is slow as milkshake.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:22 PM CST reply actions

lendale will give us good pass blocking

but he can’t run on these guys…

we need cj

by jayosanne on Jan 10, 2009 5:25 PM CST reply actions

damn that

defer is killing us
if we had wind for 2nd and 3rd quarter we would’ve got at least 6 points

by LastSd on Jan 10, 2009 5:26 PM CST reply actions

Fake Kick?

Old School Fisher style. Throw Vince on the field to hold the snap!

by nvemvp23 on Jan 10, 2009 5:26 PM CST reply actions

Exactly

He’s not running well enough to be considered apart of our running back team.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:27 PM CST up reply actions

Before CJ went down

It was looking like points for us would not be as scarce as we’d thought ahead of the game, but now I’m thinking 3 points is huge.

by numbertenox on Jan 10, 2009 5:27 PM CST reply actions

Agreed

I am disappointed in Lendale.

On his last run I think CJ woulda cut it outside and runs that for a TD.

this isn't shaping up good....

playing good….

penalties and turnovers killing drives…..

missed fg…

best offensive player gets hurt…..

excitement is not nervousness

Sheesh

Allright D

Bail us out again.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:29 PM CST reply actions

No surprise

that the winner of this game is going to come out severely banged up.

by numbertenox on Jan 10, 2009 5:30 PM CST reply actions

i dont think that was the crowd

think they were just disorganized…happens a lot after a deep ball, receiver takes too long to get back to the huddle

by jeanl0uis on Jan 10, 2009 5:32 PM CST up reply actions

Sheesh

What’s with Collins and overthrowing?

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:35 PM CST reply actions

Shit man

Lendale you big waste of a uniform!

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:36 PM CST reply actions

This is some bull

Our D is gonna have to score points?

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:37 PM CST reply actions

well, they are capable of it

but all they may need to do is get a turnover in field goal range.

by numbertenox on Jan 10, 2009 5:38 PM CST up reply actions

without CJ we have no offence

white = slow fatass
WR = can’t get open
QB = when WR gets open can’t throw
when QB throws good WR can’t catch
and that’s about it

by LastSd on Jan 10, 2009 5:38 PM CST reply actions

It's not that bad

but it’s a huge loss, no doubt

by numbertenox on Jan 10, 2009 5:39 PM CST up reply actions

some optimism guys

this team has been strong and resilient all year…we’ll bounce back from this funk

by jeanl0uis on Jan 10, 2009 5:40 PM CST reply actions

we need a turnover or a good return or something to switch this field position around cuz the offense is having tough time here

Good play by Carr

That was a very difficult punt to field

by jeanl0uis on Jan 10, 2009 5:44 PM CST reply actions

Allright

That’s kool

If we can run for 5. Throw short little passes for 5.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:45 PM CST reply actions

ouch

Lendale 9 rushes for 12 yards

by jeanl0uis on Jan 10, 2009 5:46 PM CST reply actions

You know...

I used to kinda like Lendale.

This game may change that.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:46 PM CST reply actions

Penalty

But Rolle is hurt. Maybe that will help us out.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:47 PM CST reply actions

But we need to just stop running

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 5:49 PM CST reply actions

A field goal

by numbertenox on Jan 10, 2009 5:50 PM CST reply actions

Can we put Vince in without stirring a controversy?

Just for a play here every few downs. Something needs to spark this offense and now both of our biggest playmakers are on the bench…

by SuperHorn on Jan 10, 2009 5:51 PM CST reply actions

These freakin injuries too.

We still got a Super Bowl to play in.

That was my biggest concern when I saw we drew this team…

by SuperHorn on Jan 10, 2009 5:55 PM CST up reply actions

if we manage a stand here

and limit them to 3, it’s still within reasonable reach. But without CJ right now it’s hard to imagine them bouncing back from a ravens td here. could happen, but will be hard.

Next time

You tools come over and dog the Colts after they get knocked out, make sure your team is going to win. Enjoy the offseason.

That means YOU hal. This isn’t intended to get at other fans. Good game, sorry for your loss. Better luck next year.

How’s it feel to lose to the little brother of a Colt?

by monstersbox on Jan 10, 2009 6:47 PM CST reply actions

i'll be honest with you...

you guys getting knocked out was the highlight of my year…and we JUST lost! i’m still smiling…hah!

That sucked bad.

very true james

they didnt beat us. we helped them out alot.

The NFL has to do something about the #1 seed

It’s just not worth it. You lose momentum and come out rusty.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 6:50 PM CST reply actions

Why did it have to be Baltimore?

This is the one team I couldn’t bear to see us lose to again…

by jeanl0uis on Jan 10, 2009 6:51 PM CST up reply actions

I hate the Ravens

But honestly… it doesn’t matter who beat us. We’re out either way.

by theologic on Jan 10, 2009 6:53 PM CST up reply actions

Wrong 13-10 win

Means Ravens were better.

You have to hate losing more than you love winning

by Mr MaLoR on Jan 11, 2009 12:59 AM CST up reply actions

wouldn't have made a diff.

they coughed up the ball at the worst time and that broke our momentum. otherwise the ravens would be going home but. oh well . it’s over. moving on.

by studiocat on Jan 10, 2009 6:53 PM CST reply actions

Kerry Collins blows

I think he should be a 2nd string qb again, it works for him.

by PAtitansfan on Jan 10, 2009 6:56 PM CST reply actions

Are you serious?

Kerry carved the ravens up all game and was throwing darts all over the field. It is not his fault receivers fumbled balls or dropped passes or running backs fumbling in the redzone. Any QB that throws for 281 yds against the Ravens played very well. Well see what you have to say when Vince Young is back.

by Major on Jan 10, 2009 7:10 PM CST up reply actions

nice game guys..you had our number. i hope CJ is okay. he would have been the major difference. our LBS couldn’t stop him. truly feel bad for the guy. see ya next year.

You guts had a great season

But when you have 3 turnovers and 12 penalties, you deserve to lose.

Great year..

But when you can’t convert in the play offs, and have a week bye, what does the great year matter?

by PAtitansfan on Jan 10, 2009 7:00 PM CST up reply actions

Would you rather have played in Baltimore?

I don’t get the point you’re trying to make. Having the bye or homefield shouldn’t mean you win the game by showing up. What other advantage would you want? A handicapped team? Referee’s that are Titan fans?

The great year got you the advantages over other teams, the fact that you lost doesn’t make the 1 seed worthless because every team wants it. Regardless, you were favored and at home and had the better team playing a rookie QB whose team has major issues scoring touchdowns.

Thats a win on a silver platter.

by Major on Jan 10, 2009 7:27 PM CST up reply actions

Jim Leonhard is one of our best players at 5’ 8"

by raven on Jan 10, 2009 6:57 PM CST reply actions

No one was rusty.

Vandenbosch doesn’t go offsides and the ravens have 3rd and 18 and probably run a draw play instead of deep to mason for a TD. White and Crumpler kill us with fumbles, Bironas with a missed field goal, Johnson by getting hurt. Referees for not calling the delay. We beat ourselves, its simple. Too many penalties and turnovers; its just a shame cus we played well offensively against the hottest defense in the NFL. And that crumpler fumble reminds me of the one against the chargers last year where Merriman hit LenDale i think in mid air in the red zone and flipped him around. And that’s when I threw up.

by titanbt53 on Jan 10, 2009 6:58 PM CST reply actions

Agree

It was very bad to have those turnovers, and it totally ruined the day.

by PAtitansfan on Jan 10, 2009 7:01 PM CST up reply actions

Why didn't the Titans coach challenge the fact that the clock ran out before the pass?

Is this not challengeable? Surprised that announcers did not even address the issue.

Not happy

I’m not very happy either, how can you let a great season go down the drain.

by PAtitansfan on Jan 10, 2009 7:04 PM CST up reply actions

It was a great run

I’m proud of what the Titans accomplished this year. It is obvious CJ is the MVP of the Titans. Too bad Mason was playing for the other side. McCairens worth was finally discovered. The one interception didn’t hurt us as much as the fumbles did. Damn.

I also have to give props to the Ravens. They played hard and left it all on the field. But the Raven trolls should also recognize they paid a price. I didn’t think history would repeat itself.

by FaninEcuador on Jan 10, 2009 7:03 PM CST reply actions

Great Job TITANS!

Darn so close. CJ was having a good game until they tried to break him in half. Keep ur head up & live another day

by Change on Jan 10, 2009 7:08 PM CST reply actions

i said all season....

that we have to stop jumping offsides. It cost us so much in this game. Two huge plays. 3rd and 18, jump offsides they throw deep instead of probably playing it safe. Then Kearse jumping offsides on that final drive. You can’t give up 5 yards in that situation.

The refs missed a call, but so what? We can’t have a bad snap on 4th down inside the 35, a int in side the 35, a fumble by white inside the 35, a missed fg attempt from inside the 35, and a crumpler fumble inside the 35.

This game/situation/season is so similar to 2000. I’m heartbroken, crushed. It will be 52 weeks until we have a chance to be in this position again.

most games

I end up watching we have a lot of holds by the offensive line, now titans have had one of the best lines since they were moved to tennessee but holds are a problem

It was a Winning Season for the Titans...

I’m still proud of how far they’ve come…I hope next year they will build on the progress they have made…

See you all next season.

Peace.

What disappointing qb will we have next year? I miss air mcnair.

by PAtitansfan on Jan 10, 2009 7:15 PM CST up reply actions

collins did okay..he didn’t fumble and had 100 more passing yards than us

by raven on Jan 10, 2009 7:18 PM CST reply actions

right on the money except...

thats not what anyone is going to remember about this game.

by stetix01 on Jan 10, 2009 7:25 PM CST up reply actions

what can you do?

when the offense has so many errors, how can a simple play clock call change the game?

by PAtitansfan on Jan 10, 2009 7:26 PM CST up reply actions

don't get me wrong....

that play DID NOT COME CLOSE TO COSTING US THE GAME, I just thought the 1.35 seconds part was interesting.

damn right.

even the replacement C was at the top of his game, a great replacement indeed.

by PAtitansfan on Jan 10, 2009 7:22 PM CST up reply actions

yeah, and if i screwed up big twice like that, i wouldn't be on the top of my game, now would i?

if that was the top of his game, thats unfortunate for him, because mental mistakes like that are killer

Then again...

He’s not exactly a pro, and didn’t make mistakes that mattered in the long run (maybe the 4th down early snap, yeah, that was bad) or really close calls for points. (algaes fumble).

Hey

We know how it feels to flush a great season.

Get those boys some stick-um. And heal up that tailback for next year; what a beast.

A great football game for true fans, marred only by the Titans’ drops, really. Very physical, hard fought — all the cliches. It reminded me a lot of the first half of the Pats/Panthers SB: just a slugfest where the offenses were stymied by great defensive play.

And the rams failed this year.

Atleast we weren’t like a lot of the NFC teams such as 0-16, and 2-14 haha.

by PAtitansfan on Jan 10, 2009 7:39 PM CST up reply actions

Ravens dirty team/refs sux

Why there wasn’t a flag when they tried to break CJ in half. We got penalized and they got away with their cheap shots. Unbelievable, they deliberately tried to injure CJ.

by Change on Jan 10, 2009 7:56 PM CST reply actions

i dont want to say they cost us the game

but that did suck. if they are really serious about protecting players when they are the most vulnerable that was an abomination. forget the game, they could have hurt him for life.
