Ingle Martin Signs with the Kansas City Chiefs

As TrenchantTitans mentioned, the Kansas City Chiefs have signed Ingle Martin off of the Titans' practice squad.  The Titans had a chance to promote Martin to the active roster to keep him here, but they decided not too.  I mean what is the point in having more than 1 quarterback on your roster anyway?

This makes absolutely no sense to me.  Now the Titans have to sign someone before the game this weekend to backup Kerry Collins, unless of course Vince Young doesn't really have a serious knee injury.  We are still waiting on the results of the MRI that VY apparently skipped yesterday.

Martin also signs with a team that the Titans face later on this season.  I am not sure how much that really matters, but I would say it has to give the Chiefs at least a slight advantage.

I have no idea what is going on with this organization.

Stupid is

as stupid does.

I wish Ingle well. I sure he will enjoy being with a real NFL team.

The question is how hurt was Vince really. Does this move mean that they expect VY to be ready to play on Sunday.

doubt it.

It more likely means they told Martin they would sign somebody else rather than promote him from the practice squad.

Seems to me...

that this indicates the Titans think Vince will be out a while. If it were just a couple of games, Ingle would be the perfect choice for backing up Collins. But if they expect Vince to be out longer, they might want someone more capable of starting when Collins goes down.

This means Ingle wants to sign with Kansas...

or the Titans does not want Ingle on the roster or both.

I’m happy for him. Meanwhile, I think VY will bounce back from these series of incidents and come out stronger and better. I just hope he makes a statement soon so everybody would calm down.

Go Titans!
