Tennessee Titans to Work Out Joey Harrington and Quinn Gray

Terry McCormick is reporting that the Titans are bringing in Joey Harrington and Quinn Gray today.  They obviously have to make some type of QB move if Vince Young is going to be out.  I would rather see them promote Ingle Martin from the practice squad than bring in either of these guys to be the #2.

Now signing one of these guys doesn't necessarily mean they still wouldn't promote Ingle because they could always carry 3 guys.  They haven't done that for the last couple of years, but they need another guy in here learning the offense in case Kerry Collins goes down as well.

Jimmy, man, what the Hell is going on with this team?

Greatest defense ever! Terrific running game! Very, very good Tight Ends!

…and Joey Harrington?

shakes head

I really wanted Chris Simms.

But seriously... This is actually crazy.

That D. No Tom Brady. Manning vulnerable. I mean, this could easily be THE YEAR and we’re gonna have to watch Joey Harrington throw it away?!

Man, VY on his WORST day was never worse than Harrington.

Collins, thats my vote

bring in a back up but let Collins keep it. He did take us on a 3rd and 15, complete the pass, then continue the drive for the ice TD. All im saying is that is clutch

Hell, no! A tie is like kissing your sister!

We just need someone....

who can manage the game, hand-off the ball to CJ and LDW, and throw a few screens and some play actions. I think Collins can do this well til VY comes back from his injury.

Go Titans!

Harrington will help this team!!!

I can’t believe the so called experts… LOOK really LOOK at Joey’s performance. THE QB’s job is to get the TEAM in a position to win… Last time I looked there were 11 players and a few coaches who make up the TEAM…. Joey has always done his job… Joey needs a good team and not because most of his time has been spent on his back or running for his life… Titans may be JUST what he needs and JOEY may be just what they need. …. open your eyes and close your mounths and look at the facts…. just the facts !!!!! GO TITANS kick some booty GO TITANS!!!!

For anybody who is not familiar with Joey Harrington's stats...

I invite you, (no, I implore you) to look follow this link.

Career QB rating of 69.4
79 TDs, 85 INTs
Sacked 124 times

I know a little bit about football. This deep into his career, the verdict is in… It’s not like the previous 6 seasons he didn’t get to prove himself. Harrington is a very poor Quarterback. Arena League material.

About he only reprieve he gets is that he' splayed for the 2 worst organizations not located in Arizona

But still, he pretty much sucks, and our receivers may be worse than what he’s played with previously.

Like being divorced

Ya you guys are nuts…. You may know the game but … Harrington as played for some real winner teams…. You want to talk Career QB ratings… look at Bret’s first 6 years in the league…. and you tell me…. Maybe you so called “knowledgeable” guys may learn someting!!!! Good Luck with Simms, he is a good one too, look at his Career (NOT HIS RATING)

The Hell?!

How the heck do we let him leave at a time like this? He knew the offense.
