Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Where would you rather play?

So Brady's out, and it looks like VY may be out for a long time--for a variety of reasons.  Let's say you're Chris Simms or maybe D. Culpepper.  Where would you rather play, TN or NE?

Now, I think NE is the obvious answer, but let's face it: Brady will definitely get his job back... eventually.  However, if somebody comes in and literally saves the Offense, the Titans could very easily go in another direction at QB at this point.  And you know that both Culpepper and Simms think they can get the job done.

So... if you are one of these two guys, odds are that your agent is on the phone with M. Reinfield right now.  Where do you want to go?

The bigger question may be

Do you think you have a better shot at beating out Kerry Collins or Matt Cassel? I think the answer is Cassel so the Patriots will get first choice.

Good point.

Plus with those NE receivers, you have a better chance of looking like a hero.

Ummmm... NE no brainer.

Randy Moss alone would be the deal breaker. Our D, RBs and our O-line are way better than theirs though….

I'm gonna go the other way with this one....

From what I remember of Chris Simms he was more of the game manager type of QB.

Isn’t that perfect for the Titans offense? He would have a top 5 running game and a dominant defense. NE may be on the decline defensively, but they do play in an easier division.

Plus, I’d say the media coverage would be heavier for NE as he’d be trying to fill in the shoes of the golden boy Tom Brady.

Too bad Chad Pennington is already in Miami.

He’d actually be PERFECT. Super-accurate, excellent game manager, already knows Heimerdinger’s system, great on-field leader. He’d be a terrific addition.
