Tennessee Titans 31 Houston Texans 12: Quick Recap

I don't think that was how most of us thought the game would go, but the only thing that matters is the Titans are 3-0 for the first time since 1999.  The defense gave up a bunch of yards and were tackled sloppily, but were able to hold the Texans to field goals for the most part.  It was good to see Cortland Finnegan put the game away with a 99-yard interception return for a TD.

The offense moved the ball effectively.  You may not remember the offense being on the field because they didn't do much in the 2nd half.  Collins was effective again outside of the first play of the game.

3-0 is pretty nice.  No matter what happens for the rest of the day, the Titans will still be in sole possession of first place in the AFC South.  That doesn't mean anything in week 3, but it is still a good place to be.

I’m loving how this season is turning out so far, although there were a few more penalties than I would have liked in this last one. And we didn’t do a very good job on stopping the run.

Hey Jimmy, you pre-season predictions are holding out so far… how long do you think that happens?

Cortland Finnegan is a beast

That was a great game but steve slaton was really making me mad. Other than that Matt Schaub did nothing, Andre Johnson did nothing, and our D line did a great job!

Congrats

I think the score is a bit flattering to your team, but the better team on the day definitely won.

See you guys at Reliant.

And it was good to see

Michael Griffin get two interceptions.

Come on Jimmy!

Who knew? Kerry can run a little, he is killing his reputation as a statue

Collins started off poorly with the INT but redeemed himself with a TD pass. Hopefully we won’t see many INT this year. The Titans can do real well this season if they can maintain their focus and play at an intense level and not look past any team. Griffin made a couple of huge plays yesterday and the receivers did a nice job.

I gotta credit some of that to Dinger. He has an Offense, and he demanded that KC be...

…able to run it. And then, too, Collins has proven to be enough of a professional to actually get where he needs to be in terms of mobility. As an older guy, that cannot possibly have been easy.

The defense gave up too many rush yards for my taste...

but 3-0 what a start to the season. Can’t wait to see up bottle up Adrian Peterson this week and crush the Vikes…(one of my brother – in laws favroite teams).
