Indianapolis Colts Safety Bob Sanders out 4-6 Weeks

ESPN is reporting that Colts' safety Bob Sanders will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain.  Paul Kuharsky is reporting that Sanders may also have a knee scoped while he is out.

This is obviously a big blow for the Colts when you consider that Sanders is the heart and soul of their defense.

Wow.

Guess we won’t be hearing any trash talking from the Colts trolls for a minute…

That's actually funny.

Any minute they’ll be over here telling us how Manning is gonna also play Defense until Sanders is back.

I will give BBS credit this one time, though.

He hasn’t said a peep about VY over at Stampede Blue.

Agreed. I was impressed enough to leave a comment over there thanking them for not piling on

they could have made this thing far more frustrating, but they didn’t.

VY

Vince’s situation is serious. Beyond football serious. I don’t think it would be appropriate for me to throw gasoline on something like that. Plus, Jimmy has been all over Vince’s issues. No reason for me to duplicate what Jimmy is doing.

Yeah, huh. Good Idea.

He already is the only one doing his job on the offense (other than Reggie and Tony), maybe he should go out there for the D, too. ugh!

Hey man, we all feel your pain on injuries. It sucks about Sanders. It really does.

thanks.

it’s been a wierd season for both of our teams…not quite what I expected, at least. i was hoping the injury train left the station after last year.

they had a rough stretch without him

on their superbowl year. he makes a huge difference for their d.

Wasn't it...

the worst run defense in football the weeks he was out?

Somewhere, MJD just breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Yay, sports.

If I'm not mistaken, they were the lowest ranking defense to ever win a Super Bowl.

Says a lot for that offense…

Well, to be fair...

Rex Grossman was the MVP of the Colts’ Super Bowl win.

Yay, sports.

Sure he was. "rolleyes:

I'm confused

You banned me from your blog, yet you feel the need to reply to something I wrote elsewhere that was not even addressed to you? Doesn’t that make you seem both lame and cowardly? I mean, considering you were going to give me a “second chance” to post at Stampede Blue until I told you where you could stick that second chance, THEN you called me an “a**hole” in a post on Stampede Blue AFTER you banned me (thereby insuring I couldn’t reply), I guess cowardly is to be expected…

Yay, sports.

This guy cant stay healthy

I get really tired of analysts talking this guy up. Sure he is a difference maker when he is in there, but it seems like he is on the sidelines more than the field.

By the way, havent been on this board in a while. Its good to be back. Jimmy, looks like you have been doing a heck of a job with the site.

I really hope karma doesn't catch us

And Big Albert goes down with something more debilitating that a concussion.

I believe that the Titans D can weather playing without him better this season than last, but I don’t want to have to find out.

If I hit a hole-in-one on this grand slam the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

that's the way it goes

with some players – freak for instance. as a fan you just have to hope that management builds in their injury history into the salary. albert’s a good example on our team – gonna miss at least a couple of games every year, but i wouldn’t want us to lose him despite that. doesn’t mean their demonstrated ability when they’re on the field shouldn’t be talked up / acknowledged.
