I scored free tickets to the game at the last minute. Best tickets I've ever had - section 136, 40 yard-line on the Titans sideline. First time I've seen the sidelines action from close up.
Also, the first game I've ever attended that the Titans won.

My thoughts:
-first team offense was just TERRIBLE. Nobody was in sync with anybody else.
-Jamarcus Russell looked good, but the D-Line was giving him all day to throw.
-Chris Johnson had 2 key drops last night.
-Local boy makes good: watching Ingle Martin was fun, I remember when he played HS ball here.
-$7.00 is an outrageous price for a 12-ounce beer.
-$5.00 is an outrageous price for an ATM fee. If you come to the game, either have a Regions bank checking account or bring plenty of cash with you.
-remember Haynesworth's claim to have a six-pack? He lied. He jiggles a bit when he walks. I'm not trying to dis the man here, I do too, and he can still play football. But that stomach is a lot closer to a keg than it is a six-pack.
-Haynesworth wears some really big diamond earrings. They stand out from quite a long way away.
-Long after he was pulled from the game, Vince Young was with the wide receivers, Kerry Collins, and the offensive coaches, discussing things. He ran around, danced, high-fived people, and jumped up and down cheering the team. Rather like the fans, actually. This doesn't necessarily translate into results, but it's good to know your QB is excited about what's going on, and getting the other players excited, too. I saw no evidence of his supposed "pouting."
-LenDale White spends all his time on the sidelines sitting down, even when he is going to be going back in. Chris Johnson, Chris Henry, and Quinton Ganther all run around a little bit, or at least stand on the sideline and watch the game. LenDale is always sitting down. And in the defense section, at that. He seems to be pretty good buds with Haynesworth and Jevon Kearse, they spent most of the second half together chatting it up. I'm not sure if this is a criticism or not. Wouldn't jogging help him stay loosened up? And why doesn't he hang out with the other offense personnel? He did spend some time with Chris Johnson, but only when Johnson came to him.

The round mound
must conserve calories.
I think the media likes to exaggerate the pouting thing a bit because of the way he answers their questions. He makes it too apparent that the media annoys him. I’m sure they annoy all players, but some hide it better than others.

Those guys need to have thicker skin.
There are so many players who are worse—much worse—with the media than ANYONE on the Titans, but the Tennessean is the only major media outlet I’ve ever seen actually complain consistently about what are, in all honesty, very very minor gaffes.
Maybe I’ve just gotten jaded living in the New York media market, but some of the circus-type things that go on here are just ridiculous, and yet, the major players still get basically favorable coverage. I mean, A-Rod had a Kabala-fueled affair with MADONNA of all people, and he didn’t even have the decency to deny it, and yet, he’s still a media-darling when he plays well. Not to mention the antics of Tiki Barber last year, and he’s got his own show!
IMHO, these reporters need to focus a little less on themselves and the way they are treated and a little more on the product on the field or on legitimate off-field gossip. Meta-news about how the news is created is not at all worth reporting.

Though in the Tennessean's defense, meta-news is all the rage right now in the industry.
I don’t know how many of you read NEWSWEEK, but almost every article they run is now written in the First Person, meaning that it’s basically about the writer and not about the story.
sigh

Sports writers have always been a pissy group....
and that’s why they pull so much lame crap when it comes to HOF voting in baseball and football. Paul Tagliabue did more to make the NFL what it is today than almost anyone in that hall, but he got blocked from enshrinement last year because… wait for it…. loserly writers thought he wasn’t nice enough them.

That sucks.
Reporters need to really learn that they are NOT the story. The story is the story. And just as the best players often play without ego, the best writers write without ego, too.
