Tennessee Titans Thursday Camp Linkage
City Paper Camp Confidential. Not a lot of meat on the bone there.
Jevon Kearse, after missing two days of practice to rest and mend, was back on the field and running with the first team defense at left end Wednesday. Kearse is expected to play Friday against Oakland, but his backup Jacob Ford is in question with leg tightness after missing a second straight day.
Titans Radio reports that Chris Henry, Roydell Williams, Jacob Ford and Nick Harper were all held out of practice on Wednesday. The same article also features this:
In the passing game however, quarterbacks Vince Young and Kerry Collins looked very sharp. Young connected with five different receivers during the last portion of team drills, going 8-8 passing. Collins continued the good quarterback play going 4-6.
VY seems to be continuing to make strides in Dinger's offense.
Chris Johnson's goal for the season is to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
“My main goal is to win rookie of the year,’’ Johnson said Wednesday. “I want to come in and do the same thing Adrian Peterson came in and did last year. I think that is possible.’’
Sounds good to me.
Estwick says that Henry leads the battle for the 3rd running back spot. I am not really sure what leads him to that conclusion other than the obvious that Henry was a 2nd round pick last season.

I think Henry is ahead of Ganther in Special Teams work.
He has more speed, and he has experience playing LB, which helps in tackling on coverage.

Big goals by CJ
The “being the next Adrian Peterson” and other self-oriented goals are not what I want to hear.
His early success is giving him a big head. He needs to settle down and think about how to help the team, not his stats. It’s true that he likely won’t get the reps to match Peterson numbers.

Oh so NOW Beans wants everybody to be team oriented....
just kidding ya Beans, but if CJ gets enough yards and TDs to win ROY you can be damned sure he’s helped us a ton
I see what you’re saying about the self-oriented goals vs. team goals though.

Don't get me wrong though
I think it’s natural for these guys to set goals like that, but that’s not what he should be announcing to the media.

This week's Nashville Scene
The Scene gives some SBNaton love this week, in their cover article about Jevon Kearse.
Of course, it gives the loves to Bleeding Green Nation, but still, I thought it was cool.

Sounds like lots of folks on the team
are rooting for Ganther, though. Byner was on 560 the other day talking about that. Maybe they’ll keep four.

I'd rather keep four RBs with Talent than two WRs with talent and 5 jobbers.
