Who Knew.......
This was taken from an aritcle in the Tennessean that was talking about a DB the Titans are looking at out of OSU. Didn't know Jeff was deaf in one ear.
Wonder if Jerry Jones and the Cowgirls would look at a guy like that. I mean, I don't think Van Zant has a long rap sheet.
"While he's not in the Titans plans for 2008, the team at least plans to give him a look. Agent Kelli Masters said Titans Coach Jeff Fisher, who is 90 percent deaf in his right ear after being born without an ear canal, has taken a special interest in Van Zant."

Hmmmm.....
ok. I must have read the article completely wrong. Thanks for clarifying it for me.
It’s that pesky English language that gets me, but I have to admit that I still believe that the article was stating Van Zant is deaf because he was born without ear drums and that Fisher has taken a special interest in the case because he is 90% deaf in his right ear because he was born without an ear canal.
Call me stupid. That’s the way I read it.

No, you read it correctly.
It makes it seem as if Van Zant is deaf, and Fisher takes interest in him because he has the same problem. It’s badly mis-worded.

I'm an idiot, and my reading comprehension skills are going down hill
After only reading about Van Zant I assumed he was the only deaf person in the article. So I have since searched for articles about Fisher being deaf and sure enough born without an ear canal.
So apologies all around for the misinformation, but most especially to you Hook em.

No sweat......
but could you do me one favor? What the heck does the “nt.” at the end of your statement mean. I’ve seen it on other forums and I can’t figure it out. I’m not up on all the net speak and texting stuff. I had to get a cell phone with the full “qwerty” keyboard because I was incapable of learning the language that is text.
Yes. I use all the puntuation marks in my text messages too. I just can’t help it. I’m old.
Thanks.

School House Rocks!
Hook ‘Em! Don’t feel bad! You may be old, but not because of that. I, also, use (or attempt to use) correct punctuation and grammar in my text messages (and IMs). I am surprised how many people get aggitated by it.

So Fisher is deaf
If so, apologies to the author. Wording’s ok I guess. If that’s the case, I never knew that.
