We signed him....
Lavelle Hawkins that is. Paul Kuharsky announced it on the ESPN blog Hashmarks and compares him to Derrick Mason. Well at least we know now why they didn't get fat albert signed they were too busy getting rookie contracts taken care of. I believe Hawkins has a great future with this team and maybe more notably that we got him because of the pacman trade.

I'm going to laugh my ass off if Kuharsky starts scooping the Tennessean on the regular...

Seriously..
That guy has been on fire since he left the Tennessean with Titans/AFC South news on ESPN.com.

We've had a lot more ESPN love lately -
We’re getting more coverage than the Pats, and thats A LOT of ESPN -

I was hoping that would be the ultimate effect of ESPN's scheme of hiring beat reporters for each division...
a large part of the reason ESPN has pretended like there are only 5-7 teams worth covering is that almost all of their writers, analysts and former newspaper guys were from those cities (Pittsburgh, Boston, NY, LA Philly, Dallas and Denver… Indy gets love because they’ve earned it for about 6 years now).
The guys from those areas didn’t have any contacts in the AFC South, for instance, so they didn’t know anything interesting unless it was fed to them.
Maybe this year there will at least be more equity at espn.com, even if it doesn’t translate to the TV shows.
