Media Approval Ratings: David Climer

PrintI can't believe I forgot the columnists. Climer is a columnist for The Tennessean. He also appears on the afternoon show on 104.5 ever Tuesday afternoon from 3:30-5:00. The stuff he writes is typically pretty good, and he makes for entertaining radio, but I don't care for the condescending tone that he takes with every caller.

I’ve never listened too much to his radio show, but overall I think he’s a pretty good writer, so I gave him the thumbs up.
I think he never says anything that isn't already obvious.

He was against the stadium deal when the Titans were moving to Tennessee. How can a sports reporter be against building a stadium to house a pro football team? I believe Fisher kicked him out of the press room when they first came to town. He is a Vandy beat writer and didn’t want a pro team upstaging his college team. I like the ‘dores, the lovable losers that they’ve been, but we had a chance for a pro team and he’s coming out against it in his articles…Disapprove!!!
