Brett Favre Asks the Green Bay Packers for His Release
And here we go. Chris Mortensen is reporting that Brett Favre wants to play football this season and has asked the Packers for his unconditional release. I am sick of Favre, and I have always been a fan. How many times is he going to go through this? At least in years past he didn't have a teary press conference and announce retirement.
I am of the firm belief that athletes should get to walk away on their own terms. I don't care if Favre wants to play 10 more years. I just want him to stop putting on this media circus every offseason.

Yeah
He’s most likely tarnishing his legacy with this silliness. Hate to see him do it, and I’m not even a fan.

for real
I mean, He’s a cool and all, but he needs to know when it’s over or not. He should really make up his mind. He’ll end up just being known as a cry baby.

He's really hurting himself
I know of so many people who really liked the guy who can’t stand him now because of his off-season emotion acts. It’s really getting old. If he would just go away right now I would be ok with him, but much more, and it’ll be hard to root for the guy.

I'm the opposite
This whole thing is making me dislike the Packers more than I already did. If they don’t let him to go another team, I hope he sticks it out and they have to pay him $12 million a year to sit on the bench.
