Media Approval Ratings: Mike Keith

PrintOk, so I am ripping Deadspin off on this one by the suggestion of August West, but I think it is a good idea that might generate some conversation. We will be looking mostly at the members of our local media, radio, TV, newspaper, etc., and voting on whether or not we approve of them.
We start with "The Voice of the Titans" Mike Keith. Keith brings a great energy to the broadcast. He is very knowledgeable, and who can forget "THERE ARE NO FLAGS ON THE FIELD!!"

No, really, I’m not joking, whoever voted nay on this needs one to own up and explain.
Mike Keith is the man!
I love how homerish he is while still doing a great job of calling guys out when they need it; team broadcasters shouldn’t be objective, that’s what national guys are for.

The Titans’ radio affiliate in Chattanooga had a promo last year with Keith on there with a Haynesworth sack call:
“It’s ALbert HAYNESworth!!!!!” I wish I could show the inflection he used. Just awesome.
My wife got tired of hearing me yell it everytime Haynesworth made a play, that’s for sure.

ESPN loves him too. They constantly use his calls from highlights of the Titan’s games. I guess they do that for every radio guy, but it sure seems like they use him a lot.
I hate...
that when I got HDTV the radio broadcast doesn’t sync up with the video and I can’t listen to Keith do the play-by-play. I need someway to delay the radio broadcast so I can match it up with the play on tv. Keith is great and a lot better than the yo-yos they get on network tv.
No...need to be able to pause the radio
Pausing the tv would make the gap wider. They are calling the play well before the snap on the tv. It’s like a 3 or 4 second difference too.
