The lack of news is killing me...
Nothing - not a single thing is happening. Other than the occasional arrest and boring reminder of Spygate. Even Peter King has ran out of stuff to say.
It's killing me - Why can't the beat writers in Nashville come up with something interesting to say about our players? Seriously, a story about Amano competing for Left Guard??? 'Dinger barely knows who he is!
Another Pacman story? Yawn... we should try to forget Pacman, because the more we are reminded of him the more it will hurt if he has a great season.
I need some football. There is only so much golfing and drinking I can do in any given week.

I hear that
I am trying to come up with stuff to generate conversation, but there just isn’t anything out there.

What about Ulrich? xD
I hate these Pacman storys, he’s dead for me. It’s just boring…
Whta really interests me is the battle in teh Defense Line for the DT Spots behind Tony Brown and Big Al or at the End Positions. There’s fire in it…
"Once Michael gets up there he says, ‘Well, maybe I’ll just hang up here in the air for a while, just sit back.’ Then all of a sudden, he says, ‘Well, maybe I’ll 360. No, I changed my mind. I’ll go up on the other side.’ He’s just incredible."

The Pacman stuff is pure economics.
It’s from the AP, so it’s basically just filler. Think of it in terms of $/sq. inch of newsprint. AP stories are WAY easier than having your own guys work (and get paid). That said, they could select a wider variation from the AP and make us all happier on days when they’re not running local news.

Roosevelt's New Deal was neither new, nor a deal. Discuss...

It was a re-work of TR's famous (at the time) "Square Deal"...
...by which he moved the Republican Party of the early 1900’s against what are today thought of as monopoly corporations. But whereas one might argue that TR did offer a deal (put your faith in me, and I’ll fix the lack of competition between major corporate powers), FDR’s Deal sought simply to fix the essentially unfixable—worldwide economic calamity But since there was no real quid pro quo, it’s hard to argue it was actually a deal of any kind.
In football terms, TR instituted a salary cap between the major teams to enhance league-wide competition. What FDR was trying to do was more akin to making European “football” popular in America.
