Bears sign Harris to 4-yr extension

With the Bears signing of Tommie Harris to a 4-year extension worth $40 million, I am thinking it just got harder to sign Big Al Haynesworth soon.

The extension makes Harris the highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL and in history. The contract is the richest in Bears history.

I'm not saying that Big Al has had the same success as Tommie Harris in his career so far but you can be sure that he's agent will put this on Reinfeldt's table.

I just want this signing to get over with before it becomes a distraction. And I am concerned that Big Al may not be doing his individual workout seriously. We need him to be in tiptop shape at the start of the season... I can imagine him right now on a treadmill with a steak in one hand and an ice cream cone on the other.

Big Albert should get Harris-money

but it can’t be too far off. Go ahead and do this Mike… please. Albert is only 27 and is the lynch-pin of our D.
