Denver Broncos Release Travis Henry

ESPN.com is reporting that the Denver Broncos have released running back Travis Henry.   Broncos' coach Mike Shannahan said Henry's commitment was the problem:

"Although Travis has the ability to be one of the top running backs in the NFL, we have to make decisions that are in the best interests of our organization and its goal of winning a Super Bowl," Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said in a statement. "We did not feel his commitment to the Broncos was enough to warrant a spot on this football team."

As I said last week, the Titans absolutely made the right call by letting Henry walk after the 2006 season.

Seriously, If he's not committed enough for the Broncos

then he isn’t committed enough for the CFL!

I’d honestly rather have a veteran D-Linemen or O-Linemen brought in for depth than another RB. Unless they know something we don’t, I’m fine with our current 1-2-3 and just letting them fight it out and earn their places in the pecking order.

Wow!

Those are some pretty strong words by Shannahan.
