Quit clogging up my interstate hippie!!!

Just kidding ya… have a blast. I’m not going this year (I opted for Lollapalooza this year because downtown Chicago and an Astros game at Wrigley>Camping in that damned field again), but Bonnaroo is always a great time.

I may make my way down there Sunday, though.

Not just hippies...

...Metallica is sure to bring the metalheads in force this year.

In fact, that the cover article of this week’s Scene: “Is Metallica at Bonnaroo a sign of the Apocalypse?”

I wish I didn’t have so much schoolwork (3 summer classes, all in a compressed June-only schedule), or I would be there.

Bonnaroo quit being a 'hippie fest' about 3 years ago... the audience last year was mostly indie rock kids

which is fine by me because everyone was still respectful and having a great time (despite the constant dust cloud!)

Metallica = The Best

I rememeber them saying that kind of junk when Metallica headlined Lallapalooza in 96. Soundgarden, The Ramones, Rancid, RATM—-all four were there and broke up shortly thereafter. Had Metallica not dragged me in there I would have never seem them live.

Eh...

It really pains me that I live only 20 minutes from where they hold Bonnaroo, and I’ve never been.

I’ve heard the good things like the other music fans you’ll meet and camping out for the weekend.

I’ve heard bad things too like the other music fans you’ll meet and getting to camp out for the weekend (because its either super hot and dusty, or super hot and muddy after it rains).

Liked the lineup this year, wish I could go.
