Tennessee Titans News 5.22.08: Kevin Jones Visits

The Tennessee Titans brought Kevin Jones in for a visit today as well.  Jones is coming off a knee injury, and Coach Jeff Fisher said the Titans were just looking to see where he is:

"We have a ready list for all different positions, we bring players in for a physical just to get to meet them,’’ Fisher said.

"We are getting to know them. Kevin Jones was a very good player and had a knee injury. We are just keeping our files updated.’’

It will be interesting to see if the Titans end up signing Jones or Ron Dayne who was in earlier today.

Vince Young apologized to the kids for the internet photos that surfaced last week:

"I was having a good time with friends … and you know how it is, as a quarterback you can’t have too much fun. I blame myself for that, but at the same time you have to watch certain things,’’ Young said.

"I apologize to some of the kids if they did see it because I am trying to be a role model for them. But at the same time, I was just trying to have fun with (friends).’’

Hopefully now that he has commented on the photos the story will go away.

Paul Kuharsky has another edition of practice notes from today's OTAs.

RB

why do we keep bringing in RBs? If we sign one of these guys will everyone then admit that the Titans regret drafting Chris Henry?

Henry is obviously performing well below expectations.

Granted, they have what seems like a good plan with LenDale White and C. Johnson, but if there’s an injury, especially to White, I think you’ll see R. Dayne get brought in. Fisher’s gonna keep his agent’s # on speed-dial.

I don't know if I agree with that. I think it's more a case of...

...knowing that the team will be totally screwed if the wheels come off the running game. They’re committed to a 2-back system, so without C. Brown, there is effectively NO depth at RB—if you buy into the idea that C. Henry isn’t ever going to be the solution.
