Ron Dayne Visiting the Tennessee Titans Today

The Tennessean is reporting that Ron Dayne will be visiting with the Titans today and taking a physical.  Dayne's agent said the Titans expressed to him they are concerned about the health of LenDale White's knee:

"What they said to me was LenDale is coming off a knee injury, so that is maybe a concern of theirs. Ron has proven he can play through whatever,'' agent Karim Lawrence said.

That is the only reason bringing Dayne in makes any sense at all.  He is the same back as LenDale only older.  He did have some success with Mike Heimerdinger in Denver in 2005 when he averaged 5.1 yards per carry (53 carries so small sample size obviously).

Amazing....

craziest thing and I’m not making this up. I had a dream last night that the Titans had Dayne. I swear. I hadn’t heard the news until now. They were calling it the thunder and lightning storm (white, dayne, johnson, henry). They also had them all 4 in the backfield at once (i know, not legal). Wow, I’m a little freaked out! And no, I normally don’t dream about the Titans!!

So you are a prophet

They can’t all be in the backfield, but they could all be on the field at the same time. They are going to run the wishbone with LenDale, Henry and Dayne in the backfield with Johnson lined up wide. Now that is Jeff Fisher’s dream.
